I'm not saying she does not care for the throne at all, but I feel like it's not the power that it brings, but the status she cares for. And yes status gives you power, but so far all her actions were not indicating she wants more power and to use it. But to keep the dignity and the status of the royal family. It's the pride thing.
And I don't really think it's about throne, but the dignity that status of nobility brings. She values that above all. Above her own child, as we see.
Edit: omg yes he did not win for her. But he for sure did a lot to help her win in the process 🙄 Wish the archery competition was framed differently in the flashback and more focus was placed on his relationship with the king.
I'm gonna be honestly, I really like how cheap IU's character feels. I like how she is so shameless and there is literally zero grace and sophistication about Seong Hui Ju. I think that's a good set up for character development. It's obvious she has been playing dirty because that was the only way she could succeed, but I wish at some point she will move her priority from being at the top, to being find with who she is.
Yun I Rang is going to be such a pain in the ass. The thing is, I don't think she is a villain in a normal sense that we usually think of. It's not like her goal is wrong or immoral. At least so far. But her priorities are just... not my cup of tea 🤡 Anyway, she accidentally started the fire 3 years ago, that's what they are telling us now. But it's kind of early for a revelation like that, there must be more to it.
I am scared I might have been right about Min Jeong U. He gonna be that bitch "I am not brave enough to handle you and go after you, but I'm gonna be pissed when someone else does" 😂
Grand Prince Yi An is the man. I kind of wish he was less of THE man. Give him some flaws. This gives me Ryu Seon Jae 2.0. While for the first half it was amazing to witness this perfection, it kind of got boring in the second half.
They set up the romance and the relationships between the characters, now we probably gonna get to the core of the conflicts. I am expecting no depth, I am expecting full cliches. And I am 100% fine with it 🔥My goal is to get a fun, entertaining easy watch with pretty faces and great chemistry.
IU playing a character that is THE bitch in the town will forever be something I will appreciate and never get tired of 😂
"Play dirty and cheap" 😉 What a queen 🔥I love how by all means she is delulu, which makes her one of us. But mixing delulu with smarts and competence? That's a deadly combo! 👻
I also appreciate the shower plotline. The plot is plotting 🔥 They know how to grab my attention.
Byeon Woo Seok is breathtakingly hot. Why was Yi An late? Coz getting ready to look this stunning and hot takes a fucking minute. Ain't easy.
Love how they are kind of underdogs with power, which will make the schemes that much more interesting. Because they will have strength to fight bac. Especially when this bickering duo gets together.
So good to see Gong Seung Yeon. I feel like I have not seen her in ages. I missed her on screen, but DAMN Yun I Rang is so fucking annoying 🤡 Also why they always wear a razor sharp rings in them dramas to always cut the face with a slap 🙂
Min Jeong U gives me "leading girl on" vibes. "I like you, but not enough to actually commit". The guy who did nothing to get the girl, but then gets annoyed when she is "stolen" by someone else (by someone else I mean out hottest Prince ever). I hope I am wrong 😂
Anyway, this was fun. Far more focused on setting on the characters and their past than setting up the plot. As someone who digs character driven dramas more, this is perfect for me.
Anyway, good shit, go watch 🔥
PS. There is an epilogue at the end of the ep👍🏻
And the way he is using this bad news to emotionally manipulate and get closer to Yan Ling, like a true psychopath would 🤡😂 Also, he for sure knows her from the past, because he knows her traumas and triggers way too well 🙂
Damn i wish that criminal loan gang had better taste in tattoos 😅
"A Leaf of Loneliness" you say? If it does not scream scam targeting vulnerable women, I don't know what would 🥲
The scene where the guy was slapping his wife... somehow the fact he was slapping her with the back of his hand and not just punching makes it worse. There is something so humiliating about being slapped.
This drama gives me such a trust issues. Like everything Xia Yi said made sense... but it made too much sense. Dude had answers for every question and every doubt with fucking proof ready to show. That's shady 🤡😂And by the end of the episode it's all confirmed 😅
Okay so the "uncle" that helped the family for sure either did or tried to do something to Yan Ling. Her family either ignored it, or if she said anything, denied it. That's why she is so distant from her family. And that uncle bitch had the audacity to say he is "divorced now" the fuck as if it would mean anything. She literally right away took of the jacket he touched and put it in a trash. Bad shit happened in the past. The whole drama is centered around abuse of women so it would fit the themes.
I give it to Luo Liang... he is good at manipulating people. And really charming. Also, I support him until he deals with all them assholes and other psychopaths around FL, and after that he needs to be yeeted out of her life too 🤡
Also, can we talk about the cop with glasses? Coz I am impressed, we finally have a cop that actually wants to do his work and does not ignore some weird and shady shit going on 🔥
