honestly if they didnt already know each other I’d question why the leads get together cuz the fl goes between…
But he does not want throne and power. She is gone and then what? That would mean more spotlight on him, more responsibilities and less freedom. From what it seems, he does not want her gone, he wants to be gone 🥲 Every time he gets involved is for the little prince.

So... me agreeing it was because of the king means I am wrong. Coz that's what you are claiming right now.

Because the king wanted to abdicate and that's not honorable, for her it's better to die. That's how it seemed for me. And Grand Prince does not act like a noble, from how she reacts to his behavior and what we heard about his "nicknames" he does not hold the dignity she wants, the perfection noble family needs to present.

I'm not saying she does not care for the throne at all, but I feel like it's not the power that it brings, but the status she cares for. And yes status gives you power, but so far all her actions were not indicating she wants more power and to use it. But to keep the dignity and the status of the royal family. It's the pride thing.

true, but that makes me dislike the framing of the competition, because there was far more focus on him helping her "win" and her practicing to win, than how his father wanted to "keep him down" which we had what, one scene of? So I wish they either went with him losing for her (tho it does not really match his character), or give less scenes of her archery practice and them talking about it (we've got 2 flashbacks of it if I remember correctly) and him changing the rules so she can practice and focus more on his relationship with the king.

I'd assume it's mix of both. Obviously the dad was part of it. Probably bigger part. But I'd say her wanting to win also played part in it. With how the archery competition plot was framed and structed.

I am not sure she killed him. All we saw was her throwing that paper and then big fire. Logically him dying coz of that makes no sense. So what happened between? I am more incline to believe she did not kill him, someone else did, but she thinks she did (and yeah her dad is most likely behind the death, tho one would assume he would be higher in the cast list in that case 😂)

And I don't really think it's about throne, but the dignity that status of nobility brings. She values that above all. Above her own child, as we see.

It would be more interesting if suddenly they bring up a Sunjae like plot twist that "He Always Liked Her"…
100% he fell for her when she called him out of how he can practice archery because of his status, but she cannot. He obviously values integrity and dislike his noble status. So he appreciated how she was bold enough to call him out despite who he is. H̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶t̶e̶r̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶l̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶a̶r̶c̶h̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶.
Edit: omg yes he did not win for her. But he for sure did a lot to help her win in the process 🙄 Wish the archery competition was framed differently in the flashback and more focus was placed on his relationship with the king.

Okay first of all, god bless the power of improvement. We see the fucking colors, and light and visually episode 2 looks so much better! 🔥

I'm gonna be honestly, I really like how cheap IU's character feels. I like how she is so shameless and there is literally zero grace and sophistication about Seong Hui Ju. I think that's a good set up for character development. It's obvious she has been playing dirty because that was the only way she could succeed, but I wish at some point she will move her priority from being at the top, to being find with who she is.

Yun I Rang is going to be such a pain in the ass. The thing is, I don't think she is a villain in a normal sense that we usually think of. It's not like her goal is wrong or immoral. At least so far. But her priorities are just... not my cup of tea 🤡 Anyway, she accidentally started the fire 3 years ago, that's what they are telling us now. But it's kind of early for a revelation like that, there must be more to it.

I am scared I might have been right about Min Jeong U. He gonna be that bitch "I am not brave enough to handle you and go after you, but I'm gonna be pissed when someone else does" 😂

Grand Prince Yi An is the man. I kind of wish he was less of THE man. Give him some flaws. This gives me Ryu Seon Jae 2.0. While for the first half it was amazing to witness this perfection, it kind of got boring in the second half.

They set up the romance and the relationships between the characters, now we probably gonna get to the core of the conflicts. I am expecting no depth, I am expecting full cliches. And I am 100% fine with it 🔥My goal is to get a fun, entertaining easy watch with pretty faces and great chemistry.

Sidenote, i think after getting Byeon Woo Seok and IU they might not have had enough in budget for electricity bills the drama is so dark 😂

I am so excited! Even though the first episode was a lot slower than I thought it would be, I loved it. I was sharp focused from first to last second. Do I think it;s gonna be some deep shit to reflect on? No. Will it be extremely entertaining, fun and exciting to watch? FOR SURE.

IU playing a character that is THE bitch in the town will forever be something I will appreciate and never get tired of 😂
"Play dirty and cheap" 😉 What a queen 🔥I love how by all means she is delulu, which makes her one of us. But mixing delulu with smarts and competence? That's a deadly combo! 👻

I also appreciate the shower plotline. The plot is plotting 🔥 They know how to grab my attention.
Byeon Woo Seok is breathtakingly hot. Why was Yi An late? Coz getting ready to look this stunning and hot takes a fucking minute. Ain't easy.

Love how they are kind of underdogs with power, which will make the schemes that much more interesting. Because they will have strength to fight bac. Especially when this bickering duo gets together.

So good to see Gong Seung Yeon. I feel like I have not seen her in ages. I missed her on screen, but DAMN Yun I Rang is so fucking annoying 🤡 Also why they always wear a razor sharp rings in them dramas to always cut the face with a slap 🙂

Min Jeong U gives me "leading girl on" vibes. "I like you, but not enough to actually commit". The guy who did nothing to get the girl, but then gets annoyed when she is "stolen" by someone else (by someone else I mean out hottest Prince ever). I hope I am wrong 😂

Anyway, this was fun. Far more focused on setting on the characters and their past than setting up the plot. As someone who digs character driven dramas more, this is perfect for me.

Anyway, good shit, go watch 🔥
PS. There is an epilogue at the end of the ep👍🏻

Title The Dark Romance Spoiler
So Luo Liang's reaction to his father's death gives me both relief/ happiness vibes, and anger/frustration as if something did not go as planned. We know he is for some reason traumatized and I it is related to father abusing the mother and him, and I guess his sister (with the sis possibly even sexually abusing from the "you are trying to seduce me" line from the flashback). And I kind of got "You deserve to die, but you did not suffer enough"... And this might make him spiral even more, because he did not get the sense of justice from his father's death.

And the way he is using this bad news to emotionally manipulate and get closer to Yan Ling, like a true psychopath would 🤡😂 Also, he for sure knows her from the past, because he knows her traumas and triggers way too well 🙂

Damn i wish that criminal loan gang had better taste in tattoos 😅

"A Leaf of Loneliness" you say? If it does not scream scam targeting vulnerable women, I don't know what would 🥲

I don't know yet what truly happened since I only saw 4 episodes, but i am certain the mother knew something, and that should be enough for her not to push FL to still be in contact with the uncle.

If FL was groomed before, shoild she not have antenne up for such behavior..how can she fall into same trap twice…
I don't think it's that simple. It's obvious she never actually dealt with her trauma, she just pushed through it. She thinks she is strong and rational person. And that's why she is more vulnerable now - because she cannot even imagine she could become a victim again. So she is not guarding herself, she is not cautious. She is led by her emotions and these blind her.

Title The Dark Romance Spoiler
Luo Liang lying through his teeth during that drive back from work and the taxi driver looking back at him with the "the fuck, is he for real" look 😂 I love moments like that. By all means they could not cut to the driver reacting and we would still know he is lying. But the reaction from the driver makes it even more clear how fucking shameless Luo Liang is 😅

The scene where the guy was slapping his wife... somehow the fact he was slapping her with the back of his hand and not just punching makes it worse. There is something so humiliating about being slapped.

This drama gives me such a trust issues. Like everything Xia Yi said made sense... but it made too much sense. Dude had answers for every question and every doubt with fucking proof ready to show. That's shady 🤡😂And by the end of the episode it's all confirmed 😅

Okay so the "uncle" that helped the family for sure either did or tried to do something to Yan Ling. Her family either ignored it, or if she said anything, denied it. That's why she is so distant from her family. And that uncle bitch had the audacity to say he is "divorced now" the fuck as if it would mean anything. She literally right away took of the jacket he touched and put it in a trash. Bad shit happened in the past. The whole drama is centered around abuse of women so it would fit the themes.

I give it to Luo Liang... he is good at manipulating people. And really charming. Also, I support him until he deals with all them assholes and other psychopaths around FL, and after that he needs to be yeeted out of her life too 🤡

Also, can we talk about the cop with glasses? Coz I am impressed, we finally have a cop that actually wants to do his work and does not ignore some weird and shady shit going on 🔥
