⭐️ ONE OF THE BEST DRAMAS I’VE EVER WATCHED ⭐️
A Dream Within a Dream (2025) is an absolutely thrilling ride from start to finish! The storyline keeps you hooked with unexpected twists and emotional depth. While episodes 10 to 20 dragged a little with unnecessary scenes, the pace picks up again by episode 22 — and from there, it’s non-stop excitement all the way to a very satisfying ending! 🤩Liu Yuning truly shines in the lead role — his performance is powerful, convincing, and full of emotion. It’s no surprise he continues to be one of China’s top actors.
Highly recommended for anyone who usually finds C-dramas boring. This one breaks the mold. Every episode is filled with surprises, tension, and emotional beats that hit just right.
I rate this drama 100000/10 — yes, it’s that good

Boring but still worth a watch!
If You Loved Korean Drama “Lovely Runner” or “Extraordinary You”, This One’s for You!Shining for One Thing gives off major Lovely Runner and Extraordinary You vibes — if you enjoyed those, you have to check this out! The storyline is strikingly similar, and the male lead is an absolute green flag. Seriously, he’s everything you’d want in a drama hero.
That said, I’ll be honest — the plot can feel a bit slow and even boring at times. I found myself skipping through quite a few scenes. But despite that, it still manages to be worth watching. Whether it’s the heart-fluttering moments or the familiar time-slip twists, there’s just something about it that keeps you hooked.
Not perfect, but definitely one to add to your drama list!

Boring Storyline
I was really looking forward to seeing Yan Yuan transform into the Aksara clan—it would have been so badass, but it wasn’t shown, which was really disappointing. Overall, this drama had a dragged-out storyline. It could have been wrapped up in 20 episodes, but they kept adding unnecessary conflicts, which made it boring to watch. The acting was terrible, and the CGI was equally bad.Was this review helpful to you?

GREEN FLAG MALE LEAD
Overall, I’d rate this drama a 7/10. What I really liked was the male lead, he’s a total green flag and definitely husband material. However, the female lead felt lacking in expression and got sulky over small things. The storyline was very predictable, I already figured out from the beginning that the male lead would also travel back in time. All the characters were easy to predict as well. This drama might be a good pick for those looking for something light and not too intense to watchWas this review helpful to you?

Good Acting but Boring Story
The actors’ performances were excellent—no doubt about that. However, the story didn’t really support their acting. It started off strong, but as it got closer to the ending, it became dull. The ending was also a bit disappointing—just a marriage as a concubine and no kissing scene. There wasn’t enough romance between the two main leads. Was this review helpful to you?
hope this kind of relationship finds me
At first, I was hesitant to watch this because I’m not really into modern dramas. But since I had no idea what else to watch, I ended up giving it a try… and I absolutely loved it! Zhang Lurang is the ultimate green flag boyfriend—seriously, forever a favorite! Zhou Yiran fits the character perfectly, making viewers relive the sweet high school romance and bringing back nostalgic memories. I’d love to see Zhou Yiran in a colossal drama someday.Highly recommended, especially for those looking to switch from Korean to Chinese dramas! Give this one a try!

Boring Plot
The drama felt like it had no real core conflict. Everything was way too light, and any problems that did come up were resolved far too quickly. The plot was honestly boring, which is a shame because the cast was great and their acting was solid. The casting choices were spot-on, but the storyline just didn’t deliver. It’s a no for me.Was this review helpful to you?
Overated & VERY SLOW PACE DRAMA
The drama had a promising start but quickly lost its momentum. The pacing was incredibly slow, and despite having an interesting premise, the plot dragged on with too many unnecessary scenes. Each episode felt flat, with no real buildup or emotional highs and lows to keep me engaged. Overall, it lacked the tension and excitement I was hoping for. For me, it’s a 5/10.Was this review helpful to you?
