I enjoyed EY from start to finish because the only other drama similar to it was W two worlds and I really enjoyed that one. In EY I loved the whole premise of characters gaining consciousness and trying to rewrite their story. I also liked how the main couple realized they were destined to be together after being lovers in another story. The multiverse plot was interesting to me and I ate it up.
If you decide to watch LR in the future lower your expectations 😭 and the plot is also heavily centered around romance I’m ngl.

It totally had potential but the bad acting and storyline was a huge failure. I feel like not enough writers were in the writers room bc what? Did the showrunner not read the script and tell them it needed to be better? I hope they do not get S2 bc I will be pissed off. Netflix in general has a nasty habit of cancelling actual good shows and keeping trash. Netflix Korea better not play with me 😭

I actually prefer older dramas. They have that “je ne sais quoi” if you will and always manage to be the ones that pull me out of my drama slump and return my love for them 🤭

I would say it's similar to Extraordinary you but I liked Extraordinary you (plot wise) more. Some people also compare this to someday or one day and a time called you or twinkling watermelon. For me, those were better than this one. Other people compare it to Cdramas (haven't watched) like Shining for One or When I Fly Towards You. I can't speak on those but if you've seen them you probably know if you enjoyed them or not. If you didn't chances are you won't like LR either.
The plot is pretty basic / generic. If you've seen a lot of dramas you would say it's recycled writing and nothing new. I loveee rom-com's but this didn't hit for me. Its kind of juvenile / high schoolish... if you are an older watcher I don't think you will connect to the characters. Also the miscommunication trope goes crazy and the sacrificial love is annoying. But it's totally up to you whether you decide to watch or not.
I so agree anything is better than KTL but I also feel that way about LR after finishing. They are on the same level imo but at least KTL tried to create an actual story and give the FL character, Sa Rang a better arc. She wasn't someone who couldn't survive on her own / stand on her own two feet. I appreciated that she had goals and wanted to be an independent girl boss. Sol on the other hand only has tunnel vision for Sunjae as she adores him and is his biggest fan. All her actions have to do with protecting him so much so that she ends up missing moments and neglecting her friends and family a little bit. She eventually realizes no matter what she does she cannot change his fate.
She then has to grapple with knowing the only way to protect him is to erase him from her memories and also try to avoid / stay away from him. It get's repetitive. Think of the plot like a circle... you just keep going round and round (like a merry go round – they have this scene in the drama too) with no stopping point. Now comparing MLs. In LR... Sunjae is a loser for the girl just like Gu Won in KTL and his entire arc revolves around loving her so there are similarities in that department. There’s absolutely no depth or flavor to his character he basically just exists to love Sol in every timeline. The characters in both are half baked but I did enjoy the side couple in KTL while in LR I didn’t care for the whole best friends brother trope. Overall, LR needed 10-12 episodes maximum bc it drags when you reach the midpoint.
Both dramas ended up being basic and not properly fleshed out which disappointed me (especially due to the hype) It gets boring when the leads get together (especially KTL) but from my perspective, both plots are weak / poorly developed 🫤
You know most of the time a drama ends and it just leaves you with a happy feeling, you give it a 9 or 10 and…
This time around I didn’t care much for the ending bc I was exhausted. Almost everything I predicted happened did and it was just a major eye roll moment for me. There’s not a lot of depth to this drama which ig I was looking for. After a while the cheesy fluffy romance and steamy moments / constant kissing becomes annoying to the point where it feels too in your face and repetitive. It’s cute yes (to a certain degree) but I don’t think it’s all that at the same time. Sunjae apologizing to Sol ruined it for me because why is he apologizing for her actions? Lmao I feel I have forgotten so much bc this drama simply wasn’t memorable for me.

I think the attractive leads (esp. BWS) are the reason why this drama is doing so well and so hyped up. I think people use Sol's character as a self insert to fantasize about a relationship with him (crazy! ikr)
Again if it were any other ordinary actors I don’t think this drama would get more than a 7/10 - 7.5/10 like you said... but for me personally, that's pushing it 😭
