I agree with many of your points and disagree with others. I still don’t think my expectations were so high bc it’s 2024… how hard is it to write and execute a drama with a fully fleshed out plot? Lol. I also don’t think this drama is slice of life but it would’ve hit deeper to see more touching moments between her and her family (her mom + grandma in particular) With a story like this it needed more heart and all plot lines should’ve interconnected seamlessly so we could all appreciate the bigger picture.

Wow it’s so refreshing to see a webtoon readers perspective. I can’t believe they changed so much. Bc ppl were acting like it played out similarly? But yes it was a struggle to finish fr… I think I expected a deeper storyline but it wasn’t that deep but then why include all those “deep” quotes and then not have them actually mean anything / it come into fruition yk?

I also liked Extraordinary You more than this. In 2019 it was different and refreshing but in 2024 just seems like a copy / a show meant for an era that has passed. Idk if it’s bc I’m older now or have watched many dramas since then but it’s just generic imo.

I’ll check out some of the dramas you suggest and see if I like them.

Totally agree with everything you said. I feel like dramas are becoming so generic / cliche and I can predict everything that’s gonna happen which makes me lose interest so quickly. I enjoyed LR when it first aired like everyone else but as the weeks went on I saw myself losing interest.

I just had very mixed emotions towards the drama overall and that’s not a good sign if you’re meant to love this drama. I also couldn’t relate or connect to others who were hyping it and praising it so much that I was questioning myself / my feelings towards it. But I realized that my feelings are just as valid as theirs and so is anyone else who has issues with the characters / plot. People on here really need to allow persons to have an opinion / respect them even if they disagree.

Lmao I rated it 6.5 (real rating tbh) rounded it up to a 7 bc I felt like I was being too harsh / mean. Then weeks later I rounded it down to a 6 because my thoughts had finally marinated but I’m not gonna lie, the fans and the massive amounts of unnecessary hate I was receiving also played a part. I literally have a rating guide on my profile btw so idk why everyone’s acting like I pulled the rating out of thin air / getting upset. It’s been a journey lmao and I’m just so over LR + the fandom 😭

Schools are failing because most people didn’t even read my review and yet they are misconstruing what I’ve said, leaving non constructive criticism + sending me unwarranted hate and cannot comprehend that someone would “dare” to disagree with their praises of this mediocre drama. If you were here before you’d know I initially rated this drama a 6.5/10 and rounded up to 7/10 but the poor display in attitude amongst the fans and disgusting comments / DMs made me reassess entirely. Plus imo the drama is just not good enough and I can’t overlook how MID and poorly written it is (and that’s putting it lightly!)
