Yeah, it was draggy. I too dropped it around 30th episode. But after reading reviews, I thought I might have been to hasty to judge. So after completing it, it seems I have wasted my time.
I think the sisterhood thing was really juiced out to a maximum. Yeah we get it. You are trying to break out of cliched drama troupes of women fighting each other over a man. But it could have been done in a little more intelligent manner.

I liked 'Meet yourself' but 'Dream of splendor' got lost in admiring its own splendor so much so that it became downright boring and ridiculous. I mean, do you really have to forcibly write a scene of FL being flogged that too at the end so as to stress how bad the women active in public sphere were treated?

I think most dramas in China, Korea and Japan overdo the caring and loving husband/bf thing. So it was actually not that different from other dramas.

Thank god. Someone was thinking in my range. I thought I was the only one disliking this cheezy feminist piece.

Show with good heart but boring. Was too immersed in the feminist ideology. As long as everyone is well fed and eating good, everything is good. Spineless men are the only one worth loving. As long as you are a 'yes ma'am' kinda guy, you are an ideal husband.
And the 'low talking' of FL was seriously irritating. I mean even when it was just the couple alone, she was talking in low tone. Yeah, we get it. You are the most pure and innocent girl ever to grace the earth.
I think it is just another half baked piece of chinese feminist propaganda. Nothing else!!

In good sense or bad?

Yeah chinese dramas have penchant to piss of audiences with their irrational and sometimes dowright idiotic storylines.

Dropped after 3 episodes. The acting and screenplay is really terrible. Try it after evaluating yourself.

I agree with most of the choices but the granny doesn't seem right. For me Ming Lan was so good because the granny-Ming Lan relationship was the best grandma-grand daughter relationship ever seen in dramas.
Somehow Kim Young Ok as the Grandma Sheng doesn't give the same vibe of warmth+cunningness as the original one.
I think the FL, ML, SFL, SML were very nice choice.

I consider this to be the most violent, gruesome and gory movie of all times which is far worse than those wrong turn, hostel and saw etc. Even Tarantino would take lessons from this one. There was a point when I questioned the motive of producing this film. Other than disgust it didn't evoke any feeling like fear or horror or pity or sympathy or awe.
And Korean movie directors really need to work their way out of cliches. They have become too predictable and not entertaining. I pretty much knew what was going to happen, 20 min into the movie. And it happened exactly that way.

I later realised while watching 2nd time that Oh Ji Yul was Park Gyu Young. She did really good.

This is what we call in India, 'phaltu ka dimag chalana!'

And for this list I disagree with all except 4 or 5 names. Most of the actress above fall in same category as you mentioned in the other list.

Well good for you. Write your piece on how much you adore that actress and how much you love the drama.
For me, it was excruciatingly painful and sad to watch a human abusing herself and being everyone's punching bag. Secondly, the screaming and loud voice of the actress ruined whatever it could have been.. The newer version rectified this shortcoming and hence was bearable. I know its based on manga. But acting is a person's talent. They can fine tune it according to the needs. Don't give that the actors were young logic. By this logic we shouldn't criticise any drama which has a new cast.
