Ep 26 preview- Any idea who might be the new lady when Hongdou was leaving? Is she a new tenant of the yard?
I think she’s the new tenant. Xiao Chun had gotten a call from someone interested in renting a room and when Xin Xin moved in (temporarily), A Yao had told Hu that in a few days another female tenant would be moving in so it must be this new lady in the preview.
why do i feel like Nana came to Yunnan, coz he was chased by some crazy fan. Coz it was clear that she was a rising…
She's clearly hiding from something given her denial when the cafe customer asked about her and how she doesn't want her face to be shown in the tourism video. I suspect there were some false rumors spread about her and she didn't know what to do and chose to hide away in Yunnan instead. (My guess is based on the conversation she had with Huangdo where Huangdo said she had a high tolerance for people talking about her given her job at the hotel. When Nana asked Huangdo what she would have done if the hotel guests had said false things about her and slandered her, Huangdo said she'd then let the law take care of it, and Nana looked very thoughtful over her answer.)
RE: Sunzi (the documentary lady) and why all the people in the village keep forgetting and calling her Junzi, this is one of those things that get lost in the translation but is actually quite humorous. Her name is 笋子 which means "bamboo shoot," while 菌子 means "mushroom/fungi". In Episode 18, when Hongdou corrects Nana for the millionth time, Nana wonders, "Why is she called Sunzi?" Hongdou answers, "I heard it's because her mother is named Zhuzi (竹子)," which means "bamboo." Haha! Maybe now everyone will remember Sunzi's real name. ;)
She reappears at the very end of Ep 16, just when the Gao brothers are talking about her. And yes, as her visit extends we learn she’s actually back for good because she and her husband are divorced. Her parents and grandmother are upset initially until they learn the reason for the divorce.
XZY (looks up at her and then writes): Get some rest (literally: Go rest early), tomorrow morning after I've bought and brought it home, I'll call you.
WHY IS IT AIRING IN 3 DAYS? IT SAYS ITS EVERYDAY…..
Because for the first week and a half of its run it was airing every day, and then the schedule switched the third week of its run to 3 days a week. Like others have mentioned, it's more helpful to consult the drama's airing schedule versus what the MDL page says -- unfortunately, it's hard for the MDL page to factor in schedule changes like these.
Bromance is very strong, but I don't like the ending.
The open ending? I actually liked it, but for those who want something more definitive there is an epilogue/special (a little under 3 minutes) that provides answers.
He didn't die ,, there was an extra scene after the finale ,, they both lived
Being a Hero posted the extra ending to their Weibo, too. If you just search this page I posted a link below (to the video) under a spoiler cut. People have reposted it to Instagram and other social media sites, as well, so if you just search for it you can watch it easily.
Does anyone know where can I find the extra finale scene subtitled or someone tells me what they talked about…
I’ve done the best I can but hope this helps!
CY walks around the room and then says: Confirm the target
-fight breaks out-
WZF: How’s it going? (This can actually be translated different ways: what’s up? How is it? How are things? I just chose what seems to fit this moment.) Looks like you’re okay. (Also not a literal translation but fits bc he says CY is ok, but the “ba” at the end makes it a suggestive remark rather than a question, so he’s not asking if CY is doing okay but rather remarking on the fact that CY appears unharmed.)
CY sees more attackers coming: Let’s go! (In Chinese a subject is not always necessary so in actuality he says: Go!)
As they’re running away, WZF points the policemen who are arriving onto the scene to the people who are behind them and chasing after them, and says: Over here! Over here!
CY: Hurry!
After they break free of the mess, CY hits WZF: Why were you so late?
WZF: What? You told me to give you five minutes! (Technically phrased as two questions so it could also be understood as: Weren’t you the one who told me to give you five minutes?)
CY: Five minutes. You came right on the dot. (I think another way to understand this, given the sarcasm they’re sharing with each other in this moment, is CY sharing the sentiment of, “Oh right, five minutes, you really came within that timeframe, didn’t you?”)
WZF: Sorry, I came one minute earlier
CY: Fine, fine, fine. Fine, in the future, don’t be like this again.
random, irrelevant fact, but i had watched the first episode yesterday, and of course, i openly admit giving this…
Your requested spoilers... Wang Jin Song will appear often. :)
He is not a villain. His character came across as suspicious in the beginning, so it was hard to trust him, but ultimately, he turned out to be a good cop (just formed relationships with some bad people throughout his life/career).
There is a 3-minute special that Youku released today and it answers all our questions. One year later, WZF and…
Sorry can’t help you, the link works fine for me. But if you search on different platforms for it, I’m sure people have been uploading it in different places - I even saw the vid on Instagram.
Restarted watching now that almost all of the subs are out but I’m already confused 😵💫. More drug dealers…
It's revealed in Episode 14 (I believe it is) that WZF has actually been working all along as Chen Li Wen's snitch. This is before he learns any truths about his father and it's a pretty awesome reveal moment, IMO. It will be episodes yet before CY finds out, and even Lin De Zan.
