2nd leads have their own independent loveline. there's a love square (sort of) with the ML's stepbrother liking…
it's hard to know unless the script leaks but based on reuters so far: they've kept the part of him being beaten by his dad, and the fight with his stepbrother in front of XS. the disgraced pilot plot is still there. they've also kept the breakup scenes and XS making ZJZ jealous after they reunite. the director also said in a livestream that it won't be a "pure, innocent love" but of course to what level they can show stuff is unknown.

yes, ZJZ is not a smoker and it's rumored his dating other girls/her college roommate has been changed to just being chased by them. the big question is if they're keeping the tattoo since "Heliotrope&ZJZ" is in all the materials. maybe they'll just change the location so it's not so spicy.

it seems the first two have similar planned shooting schedules so he'll have to choose one or the other (if he chooses them at all) but yeah c-actors at the rising stage rarely get breaks.

I took a peek at the novel and ML has to die to switch time periods, not sure how that'll work with censorship. maybe they'll change it.

all 3 are probably romances. the only non-romance he's rumored for was The Epic of Tang Dynasty which is supposed to start shooting in Q4 so it'll be a while before we get confirmation whether it's true or not.

iQiyi is just a joke since their stock has been free falling in the market recently and they just announced they can no longer afford to produce dramas themselves (it'll have to be co-productions or revenue-sharing projects.)

Project Updates:

Love in Red Dust - was presented at a recent TV and Film conference and they said post production is finished so we just have to wait for an airing date, hopefully before iQiyi goes bankrupt.

🍉 three project melons dropped today:

Have it All (一手摘星，一手捶地) - Mango historical starring Meng Ziyi (already announced) from the producers of Blossom, director Li Muge (Goodbye My Princess) and screenwriter Zou Ye (Love Like the Galaxy.) mostly based on an old rumor that Mango is pairing MZY with a variety show partner and it's a first time collaboration (DSC is the other guess but another melon owner says it's not him.) shoot will probably start in Q3.

Zai Ni Mei Shao Dian Hua Deng (在你眉梢点花灯) - Youku or Tencent drama from the producers of Hidden Love and First Frost and director Xie Ze (Story of Pearl Girl.) the ML is a time traveller (or transmigrator) moving between modern and historical timelines. melon owner just said "in contact" so this might be early in pre-production. EDIT: scheduled for Q2 or Q3

another big IP modern drama - no guesses on which one it is yet but is supposedly his project after A Love Confession.

UPDATE: the director of Divas Hit the Road says they're in talks with WXY (among others) to join the 8th season which plans to start filming in South America around June. He was also seen visiting the ALC set on March 28.
