I think because c-ent fandoms are so focused on the idea of traffic and the best way to get that is through idol dramas (or a boy band.) this new rumored drama might be a prestigious one but it's likely not going to be a "hit." anyway, personally as long as the creative team is good, I don't care if it's an idol drama or a serious one. the previous melons had so-so teams so obviously I'm hoping this is the one that's true lol.

yes, this would be a great get if it's true. some cfans are complaining it's another detective drama though lol (didn't get that from the synopsis but maybe google translate is failing me.)

as for movies, well, traffic actors are all failing in the box office recently so it's really hard to "carry" than a film compared to a drama. maybe he can do smaller roles or low budget movies but that might not pay as well and Yu Zheng might want to prioritize $$$.

Tian Gong Zhi Cheng/City of Craftsmanship (天工之城) - Youku political/historical drama about building the Forbidden City, directed by Zheng Xiaolong (Legend of Zang Hai) and written by Liu Heng (The Flowers of War.) an accurate melon owner teased a drama with a twin collaboration between 85+02 a few weeks ago so this might have some truth. (Huang Xuan is the other rumored lead actor, born in March 1985.) but there hasn't been any confirmation from other melon owners yet so might also be fake.

also, the rumor on x/twitter about a Lu Yuxiao drama reunion is most likely false as that was started by an infamous user in douban who likes to make up fake casting melons.

are those guys villains? lol violence can exist in cdramas but a main lead harming a child, even temporarily, could lead to backlash that no actor would want, much more a female one who is more prone to judgment (recently, I can only think of the ML of Feud getting his son killed, but that was indirect consequence of his actions.)
