🍉Project Updates: (all rumors, please take with a grain of salt)

Shadow Detective - apparently the investors ran away and that's what's causing the delay.
The Wanted Detective - WXY just said it's coming soon. rumor has it, June.
Tang Gong Qi An - shoot extended till early April but it might just be the B unit (non-main actors.)
Love in Red Dust - mostly confirmed as ML, no FL yet. it was presented during the HK exhibition as a key 🥭 project so it might be his first big (possible S+) project as 1st billed. shoot still set for late April.
Xing Zhi Wan - still no FL, shoot probably in September.
The Epic of Tang Dynasty - Yu Zheng boasted about a CCTV drama next year and signs point to this one. let's manifest it's true and not just YZ saying stuff for publicity because a serious historical/political drama will be awesome for his career.

Netflix does release viewership but just twice a year in Aug-Sep/Feb-Mar. search Netflix What We Watched on google for last year's data. There's also flixpatrol, a website that tracks Netflix/Disney/etc Top 10 rankings. From the score there, Perfect Match did similar to Kill Me Love Me which had 1.5M views on the Netflix report.

Also 🍉 first sister and husband already have a rumored modern drama with Mango but Youku seems to be the platform with a consistent distribution deal with Netflix.

yes, check out his instagram. she follows him, liked all his photo posts this year (just skipped the video one) and commented on 3 of them praising his acting. he really gained a superstar fan.

for the Huanyu drama 行止晚 (Xing Zhi Wan), Yu Zheng pushed it to September since the script is still being written (it probably won't start until he finishes the drama with Hou Minghao/Gulinazha anyway.)

next drama 🍉: Mango's 红尘四合 Love in Red Dust. About a deaf prince and his crossdressing bodyguard. Director: Chu Yuibun (Story of Kunning Palace), writer: Qin Wen (Blossoms Shanghai). (EDIT) a more accurate melon owner says the FL is Wang Yuwen.

He was rumored for this as early as June last year but Yu Zheng chose Tang Palace instead so it went to other actors but now, it's circled back to him again. Shooting might start late April.

yes but I'm trying to say is that they're really complaining about the quality of screentime, where they're not just background boards for other characters. based on that table, here's the percentage of each actor's screentime devoted to their own character's growth or storyline:

Liang Yongqi (total 270m) - 87%
Dong Sicheng (total 256m) - 86%
Chen Heyi (total 321m) - 69%
Wang Xingyue (total 337m) - 54%

the sisters have worse scores because they're in more scenes:

Lu Yuxiao (total 377m) - 48%
Liu Xiening (total 456m) - 48%
Huangyang Tiantian (total 498m) - 44%

(Wu Xuanyi, Huang Shengchi, and Ke Ying were not included because they did not have Mango/fan data.)

because someone made a table based on the time spent on each couple's story (no scenes where they're just in the background or revolving around the other couples):

haode x shen huizhao = 234 minutes
shohua x du yangxi = 220 minutes
le shan x yang xian = 219 minutes
kangning x chai an = 182 minutes

I believe this was based on Mango's actor data (you can click on an actor's name during an episode and it'll tell you how many minutes they're in it) plus individual actor fan's released "scenepacks."

For Kuyun's list, it's in 4th place now with a chance to get to #3 if the long tail remains stable. The Douban score also increased to 5.9 (with 42k ratings.) And there'll be a celebration party on March 12!

thanks for the clarification, the description in the script: "...the other was a pretty girl (Pei Yi), wearing a red wedding dress and brightly made-up on her pale face." that's why I mentioned that she's the bride but it could be just a case because the page is cut off after that.

the leaked script begins with a ghost wedding. LPY is the bride but I could only see the first page (the poster was selling it) so not sure if it's just for a case (but it seems to be.)

Yunhe estimates are in: PM reaches 40M playback for the first time!! and the average is currently 15M. It now has a chance to reach 20M-25M by the end of the hot broadcast period and if it does, it'll end up in Mango's Top 5 dramas (it's now at #8.)

To be fair, it's also because all the other new dramas failed to gather an audience (the only rival right now is Six Sisters which is predicted to return to the top after tomorrow unless this last arc of PM really explodes.)

Yu Zheng is mocked but he does have a silent audience (PM viewers data is 65% older and surprisingly, 35% male so they're not on social media much) but I've seen a boom of posts about the 5th sister on Douban now so the discussions might get noisier.
