There've always been rumors about his age being fake. I believe his drama school teacher commented and refuted them (last year?) but well, they're determined to hate him over this so they're looking for any and all reasons to attack him. It's a lot of screaming over nothing. (Rachel McAdams lied about her age and it doesn't make her less of an actress.) But yeah, I do hope WXY has a good support system because it's relentless and sickening what they're doing.
I'm not talking about weibo followers, I'm talking about episode playback data which is what determines whether the show is a hit. The Double reached 50M/ep so it's a certified hit already but the user above was hoping it would reach 60M/ep by now.
The user above used the term "old boy" which is the nickname they're calling WXY in Douban (because they believe he's lying about his age.) I don't visit Weibo so it's nice to hear that he isn't being bombarded over there but I've been hanging out in the Douban ratings group the past few days and clicked on this show's Douban group and was surprised at all the hate posts and ugly things they're calling him. You'd think he killed a puppy! (Meanwhile, the saner people at the ratings group are just saying that this is just the normal trajectory for Yu Zheng productions.)

yes the playback data is for China only. International viewers don't care about this "scandal." I'm not sure if the 6 episode per week release in most countries will help it trend on Netlix though but we'll see.
