Past 10 episodes now and each episode reminds me how badly I crave for normal romcom kdramas of the old style vibes in the era of crime thrillers. Such dramas with those typical yet savory elements, ahhhh. We need something like this once a year, please.
Do you know who the gay character is? I searched for the webtoon but couldnt find it anywhere
Bae In Hyuk is gay in webtoon and dating Na In Woo. But Na In Woo has a lil part in the drama where Bae In Hyuk is indicated to be straight though he doesn't end up with any girl by the end.
It's not old Indian serial thingy, it's Korean soap opera thingy (the 120 ep Kdramas that air Mon-Friday).
Oh no. Even I watch 120 ep K soap dramas but I don't remember seeing the same thing even once, I mean there could be but at least they don't repeat. If you see there is this Indian movie titled "Chalbaaz" got released in 1989 which had the exact same plot and that got repeated in many other movies of different languages in India.
My first and foremost reason for coming to this was Lee Ha Nee. Then what got my attention was the overwhelming response to this show in Korea for an internationally less talked show. After first 2 episodes, when I realised that the basic plot of the drama is very typical old Indian serial thingy, I was afraid I won't like it. But again I picked interest from ep3 bcs of the immense comedy elements and I hoped at least this will help me survive this thing but those elements disappeared as soon as in 8th episode. The FL lost her dimension and the seemingly entertaining screenplay lost it's charm from 9th. I am no more interested but since I am bad at giving up Imma just force myself till the end by fast forwarding from 11th.
I got no plan to watch the drama now until it reaches it's finale week but I am rather surprised to see the ratings coming here. I mean how stupid a large number of audience are. Sure I believe in the star-studded cast but regardless, how could you rate it this low only after 2 episodes? Where exactly you dropped your brain?
I thought the king here is meant to be King Sejong, the sick crown prince is the future King Munjong (eldest son),…
Sorry for the late reply. 8 for some reason confused the names and even after reading your comment I went too google things again but it's a mess now and I have landed myself in a great deal of confusion haha. I shall look through it thoroughly and edit my review out.
What made me think Gong Myung's character could be Sejong the great is the fact that he's a great scholar with vast knowledge about art, culture and philosophy plus his calligraphy skills. Also, the names are kinda similar you know.
Anyways, consider myself doing my homework, i shall get back soon.
This review is rather funny. Till now there was no problem because Korean makers had been using Christianity to showcase cult behaviour but it suddenly became a problem when they usee Hinduism? I don't understand how even it is related to insulting India? Hinduism could have been originated from India vut it's not the only country where the religion is practised. I am from India and though I am an atheist, I see no reason for a believer to be offender by it. The explanation is very hypocritic and is an invalid response to review or rate a drama.
About the kiss between the kids. I went back to watch the first episode since I did not remember seeing them kiss…
Yes yes...when they showed it at first, I thought they're just intimating, even so I was v disgusted. Then again in another episode, don't remember which, they were having flashbacks about the past together and when it was shown that time, I swear I saw them touching their lips... I will check again and tell you when I have time.
