I’m not sure I understood it. I think this was just showing his final thoughts and dreams as he anticipated the world ending (but the final scene suggests something else)
I watched it for Park Sung Woong (whose role is more than a cameo IMO, he is ML’s dad, a cuddly yet hunky and perhaps slightly dumb house husband wearing only an apron and pants in his scenes, none of which I was expecting but welcomed!).
That and the nostalgic nature of the story does make it seem maybe more for older viewers. I thought it portrayed well young love, uncertain dreams and the sad way the mundane world can temper both
Nice seeing ML in a starring role! I thought it was an interesting exploration of how our wishes can damage others, and how selfish prayers can be even if we don’t intend to be that way (it’s just part of the curse of being human, which this movie illustrates in a depressing and sometimes bloody way)
I liked this one best of the last three Roundup movies…The cybercrime and online casino stuff was new and it was a fun contrast to ML’s old school ways. The final fight scene was also very satisfying!
during the end credits there’s an additional scene where sehee finally comes to after being resuscitated and…
I don’t think it was him because they swam away together…Though now that I think about it, maybe they both got out of the pool at that moment and that was the surprise. I had assumed the swimming away was metaphorical; but I still don’t know why they would confront anyone like that
Really fun again seeing familiar faces in this high school ghost story anthology! The last story really was the best (very sweet, funny and thrilling), but I enjoyed the first story mainly for baby Han Ye Ri and Lee Jong Suk; the second story was muddled with a very unsympathetic protagonist
Interesting to see so many familiar faces as random and often mean-spirited high schoolers (it was pretty gory for my taste and I only watched it because of the cast, who with few exceptions all play pretty awful people who deserve their grisly ends).
The credits with the ridiculously histrionic CPR efforts really didn’t seem necessary (really laughable and took me entirely out of the movie, which seemed so weird when the movie was basically over). As someone else commented, I don’t know what they were startled about at the very end.
Similar to R-Point except it’s more horror than haunting, and the evil isn’t in the place or the history, but inside us! The constant flashbacks can be hard to follow but it’s worth watching. Too bad this was the director’s last movie (I wonder what he’s doing now)
Very sweet movie. I have a soft spot for elders with swag (which the grandpa has in spades!). Nice exploration of generational differences and how we can overcome them
Very fun with a fantastic cast and great soundtrack. I just wish the superpowers made more sense in how they related to the organs and the original donor, and the mirror scene had been explained more
Really delightful! I was laughing out loud from the very first scene. It seemed to poke fun at lots of saeguk tropes, the photographic memory parts were also fun
I liked it. It centered on the haunting of past evils and mistakes with a strong, overwhelming sense of place, reminding me of my favorite scary movie (The Innocents)
The scene with CSW’s regression therapy footage was so ridiculous, it really took me out of the movie. My secondhand embarrassment was strong!
Everything after that seemed thrown together and verbally explained to make the movie arrive at an end that didn’t seem possible given how the first half of the movie played out. But this isn’t one of those movies where I am intrigued enough to watch again to look for the clues.
But, was interesting seeing FL after having seen Mission Cross! She is basically the same character in both so watching her in this felt like Mission Cross backstory 😄
OMG. I love Zo In Sung, he exceeded my expectations in this! So valiant. Fantastic action and I appreciated the chaste gritty romance between SSK and PJM. SSK was well suited for her role
