I should bump my rating up to 8 for the dance battle alone! The Mission: Impossible laser room spoof was also funny. Despite the silliness I like how these movies always return to focus on loving and protecting your family
This movie reminds me of how stupid and immature I felt for assuming/hoping my mom would die later, not sooner. I wonder if that’s the point—We all have our limits, our talents and reasons to love or be loved, and we all feel pain.

I wasn’t expecting this to be as good, cathartic and comforting as it was. Worth watching
The giant plot holes of never explaining why they assumed ML was guilty, never asked the girl what happened and why the home worker didn’t connect the dots regarding the girl’s stepfather (she saw the girl’s reaction to him, knew she ran away from home and then saw the tattoo on his hand that was just like the girl’s drawing?!)…I guess it was all intended to make us angry at society favoring “normal” people at all costs (and children being powerless to assert the truth)? Frustrating watch
A corny tearjerker but I really liked how they revealed ML was not as bad as he seemed and how circumstances trapped him. I think this is also the second movie I have seen featuring Cho Jin Woong in a 30-second role being murdered? Found on YouTube as “A very heart touching movie that will make you cry (His Last Present)”
This was a really sweet movie. It really pictures well that doubt you can have about whether a relationship was about sex or love (and portrayed the craziness of sex-focused relationships well!). FL was such a doll (reminded me of Son Ye Jin at many points), and the Gong Yoo episodes were a high point
This was weird (why the accordion?!), a strange meditation on jealousy, identity and the power of past and present relationships. The accordion, ML’s unrelenting drive to punish FL and his angry rants (particularly when covered in his plastic surgery bandages) were oddly arresting
I think maybe ML seemed punch drunk, just an additional way his past limited his ability to free himself from it. Watch out for Park Sung Woong in a small atypical role as a schlubby police officer!
I was reluctant to watch due to the sex scenes but this was an interesting look at relationships. It was like going through all the highs and lows of a beginning relationship (when you are so in love but also may be doubtful, possessive, insecure, and you don’t know if sticking around or getting to know each other better is going to help or make things worse).
FL chooses to cut things off (maybe because starting a new relationship would discount all the work she had put into her existing relationship?).
I thought the rape scene illustrated ML’s frustration with the fake one-day relationship (even though it was mainly his idea, which I felt was a criticism of how hypocritical and possessive men can be, perhaps especially when “in love”).
There are many cute sweet moments and the soundtrack is lovely
His career is a perplexing mix of soft porn and very mainstream stuff. I really wonder how he did Dad Is Back! right after Love at the End of the World (which features the most ridiculously acrobatic sex scenes)
Very cute despite the murderous Chinese gangster/drug trafficking plot. I love capers and Park Sung Woong and I thought this was a good showcase of both! PSW got to play suave, funny, boyish, tough, sensitive and more. Lots of cameos too
I didn’t expect this to be so quirky, modern, smart and interesting! Intriguing meditation on self will and desire (and ML is so arresting!). Definitely worth watching
This is now on my very short list of rewatch movies! Great cast, FL is so endearing and SML as the Casanova is both hilarious and sad. All three leads could be described that way but I found this such a satisfying watch from beginning to end. Must watch!
I liked it but not sure about the message. The bad guy had never been challenged before (because as far as he knew, he was the only person with such power). I think his weakening at the end suggested the good guy pushed him to his limits (which he had never known until good guy challenged him) and he just couldn’t fight it anymore.
Meanwhile the good guy is kind of dumb and will always be naturally limited by his good nature. Yet as shown at the very end of the movie, it’s apparently his goodness that makes him so powerful. Like the bad guy, he had just never had to challenge himself to discover his powers (as opposed to his limits). He needed to interact with the bad guy to discover his own power.
Fun watch even if the good guy was a little frustrating
I could have done without the sex scenes but it was interesting in how the married woman gave the mistress the love she was seeking from the awful husband. And in turn the mistress gave the married woman a taste of the excitement that was lacking in her marriage. And the annoying husband didn’t understand why or how both these women were suffering.
To me the mistress not being conventionally attractive suggests the husband was just into the thrill and convenience so that didn’t really bother me
So much masturbation in this movie! But despite all the horny humor the FL is very sweet and the musical scenes as well. And despite it being totally ridiculous the old guy playing an innocent good student cursed with a giant constantly erect penis and premature aging syndrome comments on the way desire can be innocent vs. prurient like the other students; just not sure it’s a lesson anyone needs
