Wow, fantastic action/buddy movie, loved how each ML had action scenes reflecting their characters (Hyun Bin purely laser-focused and cool, Yoo Hae Jin bumbling, struggling to move from ordinary cop to action hero but just as determined)! Then the villain you hate until you couldn’t 😭

I don’t see how this is aping western movies. It has been a while since I watched one, but what I enjoy about good Korean action movies is the fighting seems higher stakes, more man to man and inventive, and there’s more specificity to the reasons behind the conflict (other than “let’s kill bad guys”), which this movie had.

Great performance by ML, the end was so frustratingly sad! The dream sequence (and aftermath when ML was trying to return to his dream) was my favorite part

Really sweet and wholesome movie about being a young woman with dreams. I cried during the final dance. It was also so neat that this was a very nice teen movie centered around dance, but it was traditional Korean dance instead of ballet or modern dance? I could see this as a new comfort watch

This really elevated my opinion about Daniel Henney; I wasn’t expecting him to be so intense! Action-packed and funny. I just rated lower because the FL was so annoying

Delightful with a terrific cast! Especially the younger son played by Kim Kang Hoon (so funny in an odd jaded way, especially in episode 4). Lee Seo Jin is still so cute (he is rarely bald throughout the series). I liked how it was episodic but there was an overarching theme of appreciating what you have, being true to yourself which culminated in the last episode exploring personal dreams.

Of course I watched this for Park Sung Woong, whose brief appearance in episode 1 and bonus footage in episode 11 was highly enjoyable

I can’t believe how much I laughed. It just kept getting more stupidly hilarious as it went on. The final scene was too funny. I am starting to think it was intentional

This is bad, doesn’t feel Korean at all, more like a dumb American B movie that happens to have Koreans in it. Even aspects like the shaman seem fake (which all makes sense since this is by an American).

Both lead actors are bad, but the present day one is laughably so (reminds me of watching an Ed Wood movie or a movie that is making fun of bad movies; an observation that could actually apply to the entire movie). Special effects also really cheesy.

I might have to adjust the ratings of my lowest rated movies. Worse than Killed My Wife which was the last movie that made me reconsider my lowest ratings…

Yet it is laugh out loud bad! It doesn’t give you that awful depressed feeling that happens when you have wasted your time on a truly awful movie. I can imagine this gaining midnight movie status with people quoting bad lines, dressing up like the devil worshipper, random cross eyed villagers and the whiny undead girl

Really enjoyable, stylish caper with a suave hero and a villain you love to hate (I shouted at the screen about his pure evil in one scene 😅).

Somehow the focus on physical perfection made this feel especially empty and creepy (not in a good way)

I found the foul mouthed English speaking finance bros annoying (maybe more so than intended) but the relationship between the MLs and how they both learn more about themselves and how they want to live their lives is the heart of the story which was ultimately very heartwarming and satisfying

Very entertaining and thrilling (as others said, like Signal). The contrast between ML in the past and the regretful ML of the future I found made it even more interesting and raised the stakes (it was his neglect in the past that led to his present so what could possibly happen to rectify the situation?). Worth watching!

So sad, really brutal illustration of how hard life could be if you aren’t perfect (or perfectly compliant). The mother’s photo was so normal, very much an everywoman which made the end so devastating. The idea that the dad falsely believed he got away with murder was a humiliation far worse than the humiliation he previously believed he was suffering (and now I’m struck by how he was just raised to believe the worst so there probably was no other way out in his mind). Really haunting

I was laughing out loud for the first half hour, especially at Oh Jung Se’s fey performance! All the musical parts were enjoyable and evoked the era. So joyful and cute and the styles were hilarious as their career progressed

I agree with another comment here that the movie is 90 percent bullying. There is no real explanation of why the highly powerful ML waits so long to fight back? The end suggests there will be a sequel but why?

Also, who is this guy? I cannot find anything about the lead actor and I seriously wonder why this movie exists (and why Viki carries it)

Sad to see Park Sung Woong acting like a power mad moron but thrilling to see Yoo In Na in such a complex role! Yoon Se Ah is amazing!

The dorm situation to me played on young romantic dreams (of course you want to be trapped with the one you love!), with the hostage situation illuminating how our personal and political dreams can destroy both hope and life. The lively 1980s party and fashion, and the powerful wives, depicted the superficial fun and overwhelming fragility of the time

I’m not sure why I called out the magical barefoot greenskeeper. The magical Obi Wan Kenobi golfing guru in the woods was also corny

I really wonder what golfers would think of this. The “being one with the green” by golfing barefoot seems very corny.

Watching this for Park Sung Woong, who has a gentle Daddy Longlegs vibe in this very silly drama. I can’t find the manhwa to compare
