I felt a little underwhelmed while watching this movie but it's not awful. I haven't read the manga so I can't say much but I feel like it could've been more exciting considering it has such an interesting storyline.
Do I need to watch the series they starred in previously before watching this? Is it something like our skyy?…
These are all brand-new original stories so you don't need to watch anyone's previous series to understand what's going on. The official episodes are posted on Viu Thailand but it's only available in Thailand/with a VPN. The free app I used to acess Viu is called FlyVPN. If that's too much trouble, all the episodes are subtitled on Dramacool, you just won't be supporting the production :)
Lol...I’m feeling the same way. Like will someone just give me a fork and let me stab myself. Theyreally fooled…
Slightly irrelivant- I just wanted to add that I read someone's comment last week saying something interesting about the title. They said the title "I Promised You the Moon" could be a reference to making promises that cannot be kept, since of course you cannot actually give someone the whole moon. Definitely much less romantic than anyone could've ever thought for sure! I feel awful about not knowing who wrote that, so be aware it wasn't me! I'm sure they did a much better job at explaining this theory than I replicated.
Also, I do agree that IPYTM is so different from ITSAY. I have mixed feelings. I'm sorry Part 2 as been taking such a toll on y'all. Hopefully, if you stick around for episode 5, we'll have something positive to take away from this at the end :)
Does anyone know if Oh-aew is wearing the same blouse as Tian in A tale of 1000 stars to show that his heart is…
Very interesting idea!! To me, I simply thought that this was a symbol of wealth. I'm almost certain that shirt comes from a brand with a big name. It just makes me think the costume designers for IPYTM and ATOTS are just showing us that Oh-aew and Tian have ~big money~ haha! (I cannot find this shirt online, I really did try to source my information, so since I have no proof I have the ability to be wrong. I do really like your theory though, it's very creative and thoughtful!)
I watched Dew The Movie first because I was ignorant about the fact that it is a remake of this film.
I can appreciate the way Bungee Jumping of their Own tells the story in pieces so you have some things to think about and question. Where as in Dew, the story was basically split into very different-feeling halves. Though I Think that's the only thing better about BJOTO.
This film is definitely homophobic. I can understand that times were different in South Korea 2001, but that is not a valid reason for me personally to like this film. A double suicide can be a great addition to some stories, but it was done for the wrong reason here. At first I was feeling a bit iffy when In Woo said he wasn't gay, that he only loved one person, but then I lost all respect when he decided to kill himself with his lover because their relationship wasn't heterosexual. I seriously had to laugh at the bizarrity of the ending. To me, that wasn't true love.
The story is really great, the ending was garbage and I'm glad Dew The Movie was created to perfect an almost perfect storyline.
Anucha's films make me feel so good after watching them. I just feel so comfy and safe. I can't even put my finger on it, there's just something so pleasing about her films.
Yeah, I also loved how basically every major character was fleshed out and given proper motivations, even when…
You're right! Every character was important and had meaning to the story. Even that homophobic boy on the roof top who only seemed like an insignificant 'bit-part character' had a purpose later on in the show! I'm very pleased with this shows character presentation and story telling. I felt everything was wrapped up nicely and nothing was forgotten about at the end. A near-entire pleasing production, in my opinion.

I might be wrong :)
