As a director, actually- even just as a human being, Jai is absolutely crossing too many lines. I think that was their teacher 'Ms. May' -with Jai on the stairs. Teh was having struggles when trying to get into character with his female co-star so- I wonder if Teh was intrigued that Jai could be versatile with his partners since Teh already knew he was at least interested in men. I believe that Teh is already fond of his director for his burning passion of performing arts and we knew already that the love for acting brought Teh and Oh-aew closer together. With Teh and Oh's current lack of similar interests and Teh and Jai's growing similiar interests, I wonder if these are the reasons he's so attracted to Jai and unaware of his obviously immoral intentions.
I hopped into this show thinking it would be an obnoxiously-humorous parody similar to 'The Shipper' or 'Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko' (aka 'A Man Who Defies the World of BL') but I was heavily mistaken. It goes to such a deep level of internalized homophobia and self hatred to self-acceptance and understanding. There is a moment or two where, if question marks had a sound, I would be saying "???" but I have to mention how Miura was presented as a BL fan! Too many times have I see toxic representation in dramas, even in real life, where these poor people are having their personal space and privacy completely ignored just so that their favourite gay ship can come to life. It's completely disgusting and unacceptable. But Miura was simply just minding her business while engaging in her favourite hobby; bothering no one. Miura's character makes me quite happy for that reason. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I personally loved and enjoyed the hell out of this show!
Teh is definitely trashy but I don't think that's the only reason. I think Jai is manipulating Teh so that he can become the best actor for his play. Teh is stupid and doubtful of himself and his feelings, that makes it very easy for Jai to toy with his emotions. I'm not trying to justify Teh for cheating, what he did was disgusting and unacceptable but I just wanted to add that I don't personally believe it's only Teh's fault. Take this as you will- my theory may be wrong as well :)
I've liked Oab as an actor since "Spike!" and agree it's moronic to the extreme that anyone would attack him personally…
That's exactly when I became fond of him too! Thank you for your agreement. People here on MDL seem to be much more mature and open minded, which I wholeheartedly appreciate.
I agree. The actors are doing an awesome job. It’s the storyline and the direction of the series that I don’t…
Exactly! I'm not sure I like the storyline either. It definitely doesn't feel like ITSAY, though I'll wait until the last episode to make a final judgement.
Have y'all seen Oab's IG? I'm not sure if people are being serious but he's getting harassing and hateful comments when he posts about IPYTM. Same thing on twitter too, but most of those comments seem to be jokes. Either way, I just wish people could understand that Jai is a character. Oab did not create this characer. The reason they're so angry is because he's doing a good job at portraying Jai. I would say these people should go be mad at the screenwriters but I honestly think they're geniuses when it comes to Jai.
I loved this episode, it was with so much emotion. I can understand why teh did that. He wants to improve himself…
Interesting way to look at it! That thought never crossed my mind. To me, Teh seemed so very eager to kiss Jai that it gave me the idea that Teh has some sort of true feelings or deep confusion towards him. But then again, if we look at your idea, maybe Teh was so eager because he was just ready to act without overthinking it or feeling any guilt. I guess we'll have to see in the next episode... that is if our stubborn boy can actually firgure himself out first and use his verbal communication skills haha
I sincerely hope Oh finds what he deserves... I don't think it's Teh. This whole time Oh has been there for Teh. He is confident, trusting, and commiting, and was only doubtful when Teh had doubts and insecurities. Teh's confusion is completely valid and understandable, but that definitely does not make it fair to his partner. It's very clear that they care for each other deeply but it's also clear that their relationship contains toxcicity. Oh-aew deserves someone who's confident and trustworthy just like he himself is. That just can't be Teh; for now at least.
Poor Meen is too nice, I don't think Duean deserved to be forgiven so quickly. I'll let it go for now but if Meen gets hurt one more heckin' time, Duen can come catch these hands >:(
if someone knows a way to watch it subbed, please tell me!
I left a comment on the official IG asking if English subs will be available and they replied "yes sure! We will let you know soon." Here's the post I commented on: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPdMGJnL_kA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link They will probably update us on IG later on!
I usually keep my expectations neutral for new dramas and movies just to save myself from major-disappointment but dang, that method was completely unnecessary! I had a big smile on my face for a big portion of the movie because I was just so excited and intrigued by the characters. Definitely worth the watch!
Alright, this was a pretty decent series! Episode 3 and 4 are tied for my favourites. Other than episode 1, these were all different and fun stories (compared to most BLs) For only approximately 20 minutes per episode, I'm overall pleased with it!

The reason must be that The Karate Kid is an American film and MDL only has Asian movies/tv shows :)
