I started this drama because of the comedy tag and shin hye sun, but there was no comedy till now?! Or was it…
I just started Military Prosecutor Doberman and Ahn Bo Hyun is a lot better there.
This drama is not funny when they do comedy scene. It's embarrassing and it's not about your humor, it just not funny.

This series has a lot of touching moments but IT IS SO FRUSTRATING to watch. Just how many times will they try…
It's frustrating to watch, the flashback, the bgm and the drama itself edited to make suspense but there is no set up and you end up questioning what new information is left, there is nothing. Also the dialogue is all reference but doesn't sound like actual dialogue, hardly any chemistry between the cast

I am at ep 3 and didn't know this actress before.... but the drama is really hard to watch. The story is a bit…
The present timeline is badly made, there are part where the bgm is super distracting and didn't match the story line. There is part when I feel like the dialogue is dubbed, there is bad transition and cut. Technically, it doesn't flow well. It's well made in the past sequence but the present has this weird choppy muted color that inconsistent. A lot of scenes doesn't bring the narrative to the next scene like the set up is bad. . Also the dialogue is all reference but doesn't sound like actual dialogue, hardly any chemistry between the cast
I am also surprise by the rating, it's not even shot well to get 8.8 rating.

This isn't even related to the plot.

I'm an ardent fan of Shin Hye-sun, but something's not working about this drama for me. I caught myself checking…
It's the editing and distracting bgm, also for some reason, SHS and ABH isn't a match like they talked in different frequency.
I can feel SHS and the other actor(the secretary) chemistry better than ABH,
chemistry like on screen co worker , not just romance related, like they belong in different drama

they also have a habit where the female lead never answer question about her age, which is consistence until you…
the show doesn't make it believable that seo ha is that special but what you said did line up with mine,
I also think she likes seo ha as ju won but it doesn't absolved the creepy vibe that she likes an 8 years old since juwon had only interacted with the 8 years old seo ha and my question is more about Ji Eum and not ju won.

y'all against her age like its not adopted from a manhwa and more than 60% of manhwa are based on one's past lives…
Yes, that's what I said, stop bring up goblin or other drama, it's not similar
I like the one you post about Cdrama, it makes more sense as people grow up and find each other attractive, that's how neighbor or friend from school ends up marrying each other

I've only watched the 1st episode and agree with you. By the end of the episode the character really comes off…
"When she "awakens" she makes sure he's alive, and then when she's old enough she tries to reconnect with him and they fall in love. None of the stalker-like story"

Yes, yes and yes, this is what I meant. The more I watch, idk what part of Seo ha makes her obsessed with this boy, even the 8 years old Seo Ha is not that interesting to changes someone's life. I wish they talked more about her guilt of leaving him behind, most of the flashback about the accident has been from his side and not her.
She kept saying he makes her felt like 12 years old, that's even creepier if the end goal is to marry him. The drama didn't explained her motivation well enough.

Title See You in My 19th Life Spoiler
You’ve summed up what I’ve been feeling about this drama. The emotional beats isn’t working for me. I know…
That part is baffling, the more they show the 17th life, the more I feel sad for ae gyong and don't like JE, you left this little child alone and don't look for her when you were born in this rich household , yes you maybe young but apparently ae gyeong doesn't matter much until she need her help, she can find her in the 19th life, when you are poor but not on the 18th?

I think the editing and the way the story shows just don't help the narrative that seoha is the one and only.
The acting also don't work, it's not bad but it's a mismatch, paired with the distracting bgm.
I can't buy the female lead and her story. I am watching because I want to know the mystery and the linear plot, so far the show is disappointing (based on the hype) in all front.

I can't find her flirty at all, she isn't, she acted invasive and a turn off. I believe there is a way to act as it very sincere confession but also flirty but this actress didn't do it well and I think she is a great actress based on her previous project.

I am not reading the webtoon nor consider that as a valid explanation since I talk based on the drama. Why bring up the webtoon when we watch the drama? It's the drama that's failing, it's great if the webtoon has more context but still doesn't mean the drama is better.

"So, when she is in her 19th life and 9 years old, she searched him out, met him and knew when she did that she still had the same feelings for him, even though he was now (physically) almost a decade older than her."

Let me ask you this then, drama only, what part of the 9 years old JE falls for Seo ha? do they interacted before she stalked him? is there anything the 18th years old seo ha do or makes the 9 years old JE falls for?

there is nothing, the last interaction was the 8th years old Seo ha and 12 years old Ju Won and this 9 years old JE is chasing him because that memory, the memory of the 8 years old.

I've been told that this isn't in the webtoon, which makes it better but did not make the drama better at all, just make the drama a badly explained adaptation.

"The problem with remembering your past lives is that along the way, you lose your own identity on who you’re exactly, which life you’re right now"

honesty, I am not sure with this reasoning , she knows this is her 19th life, she knows for sure because we heard it over and over again so she doesn't lose her identity. This is an interpretation but the drama itself didn't show it this way. She knows she is born in year 940, she said it herself.

When you said "Ju Won is still 12 y/o despite her remembering her past 17 lives", she never answer how old is her, even as 24 years old in this exact drama, she always avoid the question because she knows she isn't the age that she is at the present. Ep 2 , she said "I don't count my age anymore". Ep 3, she said "why don't you count my mental age" when seo ha said he likes older woman, ep 4, cho won asked her age and she said "why is that important". All this dialogue shows that her herself, as 9 years and as 24 years old don't count her age the same as her new life's age.

And JE has never acted like a 9 years old, despite all the smiling she does, you can also say that she is happy to get a close reincarnation because how the 18th life ended while in the 18th life, it's the usual routine and she has anticipated her death as shown in the 17th life, therefore makes her calmer.

"her character still shows that she’s indeed 9 y/o kid", in the dialogue of many character, they all say that JE is older than they thought, her nonchalant expression when her abused mother in the 19th life left, her stalking and her achievement as senior in the big corporate company didn't show that she is the same age as the present. She looks nine because her body is a child but her mannerism at the time is the same as her 24 years old now.

It's funny cause there's more outrage HERE than there was for other shows:- Goblin- Hotel Del Luna- My Love From…
she could've have love line when the other partner is like 20 years old and no one would find a problem, her age is questionable because she likes an 8 years old and confess to an18 years old, with full understanding that she is older than both of them

I don't think it's just about the age gap, there are people who hang up on this but there is also question about
- what makes this 18th life person want to marry this guy based on their memory when he was 8 years old?

see, they met again on the playground when JE is 9 and Sh is 18th , this is when JE declare that she want to marry him, then what was the reason why she wants to do that? their last interaction is when he was 8 years old?

The line is about liking an 8 years old, not the age gap but liking the 8 years old while in the same dialogue she said about her not counting her age anymore and was born in year 940. She knows she is an adult, her mentality is an adult, confirmed again in ep 3 but she likes this guy based on his 8 years old self???

It's not her age but more on his age. He is like 8 years old.

Really? I don't even know, I only aware of this site from looking around drama this past year,
then people should stop bring in Goblin comparison as idk where the actual place for Goblin discussion at that time period.

ML hadnt really rejected her advances at all thats why she is very straightforward in pursuing him. Whats wrong…
I have an issue with It's Okay to Not Be Okay female lead and I've seen many discussion and about her attitude like many people , it maybe not appears as much now but you can see from time to time. Still, I think comparison is not the best way to defend a drama like "I can do it because other did it", it just sounds like an escapism because you can't actually help the drama on its own merit.

ah, what I mean is she never give the exact number, on ep 2 she was asked when she was born and she said 940.

I agree that aside from all the age things, the point of view where we see the character can change depends on their position.
I can see viewer dislike her if she were like 2nd FL which happen to a lot of drama. I think her pushiness is excessive and he clearly don't like her and the drama just play as "romance" when it's quite invasive.
I prefer they make it as sad things rather than "fluttery confession" like it's sincere from the heart and not based on fascination. The actress didn't sell the first love image and I am not even sure if the direction is right.
On See You in My 19th Life Jun 26, 2023
Ep 4 is an improvement with the music but the editing doesn't help lmao.
one examplee, I want to be immersed with the 18th life mother and daughter story but the image of her hugging alone on the street is so silly that it takes me out from the drama.
This drama has so much plot setting up but doesn't feel rewarding so far.
As example, they kept saying how good she at work and how she gets scouted by the rival company but I've never seen her actually working, like she was around the work only at ep 1 and even at the garden/landscape things, she didn't do any work.
The drama has a lot of bad direction where you can't understand right away what they meant for mystery purpose but there is nothing to actually make your opinion about. This is a drama when it looks so complicated because it's unpredictable but not in a good way. Just because it's mystery, doesn't mean you can't say anything or reveal any information. Like the dancer and the new character, wasted screentime.
This drama excel at being dramatic and sad like all the tragedy shot is well made but other stuff is lackluster, like the romance, the modern setting, the mystery and especially the "comedy", it's not funny.
