I loved the drama, it was unique, funny, twisty, and interesting. If someone asks me what this drama is about, I’d say real estate and investments are at the heart of it. The Korean title is “How To Be A Building Owner In Korea” and it’s about exactly that. Seyoon building, Pyeongbukgwan, Real Capital, Noveau City is what it’s about, and the people involved with these make the “people” part of the story.
I found the pacing and storytelling consistent, and everything was tied up neatly. Each group of characters is tied to one of the establishments I named, and they all tied in well with each other. (Elaborated in spoiler comment below).
The fate of each character is realistic and the best possible outcome for their character. Gi Sujeong started out a building owner who cared about money, making ends meet, and providing for his family, and had a quirky personality, and he’s the same by the end, just more willing to take risks and grab bigger opportunities.
I mostly watched for Yonah Kim and her fate was justified IMO. She was doing entirely too much and going against code. Even bad guys and corporations have certain code they must stick too and she was doing whatever. Still my favourite character in the show, though.
I forgot that cameo would be there lol he’s my favourite actor so when he finally showed up I was delighted.
Overall, I recommend it if you want to watch a unique thriller and don’t care much for people being morally perfect or only good people being rewarded. I liked it and I’m glad I watched it. I will miss this drama and the discussions!
If it was anywhere between 7.5-8 I would have ignored the ratings and watched it. But the 7.2 is raising my suspicions.…
It’s really fun! It’s like those British comedies where people are bad and everything goes wrong. The plot is “ongoing” meaning there’s no actual mystery to be solved, it’s not a whodunnit; the people doing bad things are the main characters and it just gets really really crazy. Watch if you like dark comedy and don’t need good-natured main characters to enjoy a show!
Woman in pursuit of love needs three seasons and kopiko to figure out where it all went wrong.
Man who keeps making toxic and misogynistic comments on women-centred dramas he doesn’t even watch needs to keep making new MDL accounts because everyone blocks him and he doesn’t get attention.
A drama about cheating wife ,a killer/kidnapper husband ....a mute daughter...... A wealthy naive girl/wife who…
Listen to this user if you’re closed-minded and can’t digest different types of storytelling other than flower boys and girls falling in love 🌸🤗💕🌸💕 and have zero sense and understanding of dark humour.
While I do like Won Gyubin, he is charming, Lee Jungha was so warm and endearing in the role. Anyone else, no matter how great, simply won’t FEEL the same.
I don’t think actors should ever be recast or replaced in subsequent seasons. Just don’t have the character there, or wait for the actor to return from enlistment like they did for Kang Taeoh for Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Replacing the actor of a main and well-loved character is a no-go for me.
I’m absolutely seated for this unique drama and I’m sure a lot of villain lovers are too. Lim Jiyeon’s character from The Glory and Heo Namjoon’s character from Your Honor are two of my favourite charismatic villains, and I can’t wait to watch my villains together!
Those of you whining about the ML's acting skills and looks should 1st look at themselves in a mirror! If you're…
Wait, people are complaining about Heo Namjoon’s acting skills?? He has shown great range and skill with his acting prowess in a few roles now, maybe they only watched him in one drama. My personal favourite is his villain character in Your Honor (received a Baeksang nomination too if they “only believe critics”). Those eyerolls and sneers were legendary, and he looked so domineering 🔥. And in When The Phone Rings and IU’s music video for Never Ending Story he was the complete opposite, so gentle and sweet (and his WTPR character was sassy too). I’m excited to see my villains together!
do I need to watch the prequels to enjoy this one?
The thing I love about Yumi’s Cells is how relatable it is. We have all gone through emotional ups and downs, met and left different types of people, and been through so much in life alone and with others. The cells helped me realise, recognise, and understand a lot of my own emotions and impulses. I don’t see it solely as a romance drama but one that takes us through Yumi’s emotional journey, which makes it so precious. Which is why I’d advise watching the first two seasons, it’s so much more than just about the guys!
It’s been a long time since I’ve felt nostalgic and giddy watching something. Yumi and her cells back!
The first two episodes were so fun! I can’t wait to see Soonrok’s side and cells. He’s intriguing for sure; he’s quiet and calm but not a rock, he did get confused and flustered at some points, like when Yumi ran away with those 🍓🐟. I’m excited to see how they open up to each other!
Shim Eunkyung what an actor! When Yonah was shaking in front of the cop she looked so genuinely scared and helpless.
Why would they just leave the realtor’s body there geez. Should’ve hired the Real Capital duo much earlier to get rid of it.
I’m curious to see what choice Darae will make. Will she “do the right thing” by turning her parents in, or “join them” in their dirty deeds and help them cover up everything? Almost everyone in this drama is a bad person to some degree except Darae, but this single decision will define what type of character she is and what type of person she will become in the future.
