I'm liking Tang Fang so much! So glad she isnt just strong willed, but does speak reason! okay rest of comment…
I like that she has a frenemy vibe with Qiushui 😹 probably because it's not the main plot, that's why I like it. Their relationship doesn't move the plot forward but rather the plot lets them naturally develop. Also she seems to work well with Qiushui, and Qiushui already has enough on his plate as it is haha

Title The Journey of Legend Spoiler
I feel like the latest episodes skipped a bunch of stuff. Like his parents died offscreen? That feels weird. And…
It does sound suspicious but what was Qiushui kneeling to during the later scenes in Episode 18?

I do agree that the brothers weren't the most reasonable this time around. I understood it when Qiushui was being framed because they didn't have the benefit of having our perspective, but it was quite hypocritical of them this time to blame Qiushui for the same thing that nearly would have happened if Qiushui hadn't exposed Qu Hanshan.

Caught up to the most recent episode. I really feel sad for Qiushui, not so much because of how his brothers reacted but because he tried so hard to save his home only for it to still happen in the end 🥺 he tried so so hard 😭

Episodes 13 and 14 have definitely been heartbreaking for several reasons but I do think that it was necessary for us as audiences and for Qiushui himself to understand how powerful and influential the gang is. Until now, Qiushui had only been relying on what part of the plot that he could vaguely even remember in order to come up with tricks that could prevent certain events from happening. Similar to all of his firsts, he needed to experience the gang's power and influence and he needed to realize that simply charging forward would never bring him the results that he wants. I like to believe that him being framed was a way for the system to make him understand this. As long as he doesn't come up with the correct realizations, the system will force the entire plot to move forward as it is. But that begs the question - what choice will Qiushui make? Will he turn to cunningness, will he be stubborn and believe in chivalry, or will he try to find a balance of both? Will he still try to take the shortcut, or will he take the long and arduous but rewarding road? I think that at this point, the system is laying everything out for him - what his position is in their universe, the kind of enemy that he is facing, and who his allies are - and it won't be long before we finally see him make his choice.

Nevertheless, I think the severance in its own figurative way signifies the start of Mingming's journey as he fully embodies Qiushui and his ideals. I'd like to see from which point he will start wielding his sword and fight for justice as both Xiao Mingming and Xiao Qiushui.

I also like that as frustrating as it is, the conflict between the brothers happened. It's another theme that explores the relationship between chivalry and politics that come hand in hand even in the jianghu. Regardless of future potential plot twists, these past two episodes showed how delicate the balance is between filial love and the responsibilities of a sect leader. What makes a good sect leader? Does a good sect leader also make for a good brother, a good parent, a good child? They do say that a good king rarely makes for a good father after all. Is there even a correct answer?

After 10 Eps, I don't like CY 's acting as XQS at all. I feel his acting was weak . I like XZX 's acting more.…
Thanks for watching 10 episodes! Thankfully, a lot of people don't like a character based on attractiveness and aesthetics but for the theme and character development and lessons to be learned from the character. But to each their own 🫰

Is it just me, or does Cheng Yi’s character feel kinda annoying sometimes? Like, he’s the protagonist but…
He probably chose to believe Feng Lang's identifying marks - the token and the wrist marker more than he suspected him to be Liu Suifeng because of the fan. I also don't think a lot of people in their universe know how both LCZ and LSF look. Also, Xiao Mingming didn't read the original novel very diligently so I'd like to believe he wouldn't have had anything very concrete to hold onto.

Personally I like to see these mishaps that he encounters because it adds to how the story is mainly about his growth. It's annoying to us viewers but when laid out properly it effectively builds and develops his character (both as Qiushui and Mingming) and what I love about (some) cdramas is the presence of themes and character nuances/complexities that can be explored throughout the drama 😁

I hope he doesn’t pay attention to the negative comments! All of us fans who have known him for years know that…
The script thing is actually kinda cute (it was a post-prod thing mainly) because it further shows how dedicated he is to characterization, which translates into his acting. The cutest thing ever is when there are pics of him with his script shoved into his boots to make it easier to access 😭😭😭😭😭 Cheng Yi is widely known for his professionalism and acting skills; you won't hear about anything negative related to his professionalism from people who actually worked with him on set. He also treats everyone sincerely, down to the humblest extras.

Data, viewership and investment promotions are all important for an actor, I agree. But imo those make a drama…
I agree with it being unfair! I also don't trust in those people's judgements and opinions on what a "good wuxia production" is given their tastes, but I digress 😂

Qiushui has grown into such a compassionate person 🥹 The way he feels so deeply for the deaths of good people is so moving. I hope he doesn't lose too much of his bubbly Mingming side because his growth has now brought upon a very heavy burden on his shoulders. His worry for his family is so evident in the past 4 episodes and add to that the couple of deaths that he's witnessed and the system's tasks for him.....I worry for him.

Fellow ies, let's take a deep breath and calm down. FHS and CY are under heavy attack. We expected this after…
Data, viewership and investment promotions are all important for an actor, I agree. But imo those make a drama popular, not exactly a classic. What turned MLC into a classic drama was the beautiful life lessons that the audience learned from Li Xiangyi and Li Lianhua's journey. The plot and Li Lianhua's portrayal resonated with the audience so much that the long-tail effect is so massive - I'd even argue that MLC is standing the test of time. It didn't have the highest broadcast effect even among shows released in 2023 but it's being paraded around by iQiyi right next to a show as huge as The Knockout. Li Lianhua became a very beloved, iconic character and a legacy that Cheng Yi gifted to the cdramaland and I think that's very beautiful lol.

And I think that's also where all of the hate is coming from. CY has a goodwill with audiences due to MLC, and FSH has the potential to immortalize another classic wuxia character, but all of that competition in c-ent isn't really the healthiest. Either way, I hope that people can give FSH a chance with an objective mind and without prejudice. Only by letting good dramas flourish can we have even more good dramas to watch in the future!

Am I the only one who thinks the fighting scenes from CY should all be in slow mo so we can appreciate how it…
There is a running joke in XHS where people are saying that FSH is the only drama that needs to have its fight scenes slowed down in edited videos so that the logic behind the fight scenes can be understood and have the visuals be appreciated 😂

Ep 2. Is this his first kill? Poor chap, feel bad for him. And will there be consequences?
Yes, and in the original plotline of the novel, that kill led to the mass slaughter of his family and sect. However, when Mingming transmigrated he tried to prevent that by hiding the details about death of the enemy (I keep thinking he's Shan Gudao hahaha)

LOL i went on weibo and they use IMBD & attackers ratings to show that this is international opinion 🤣🤣…
Only one fandom has bragged about imdb ratings to prove that their drama has "global cultural influence" lmao

I agree, anyone that knows about this drama knows it's not a flashy, overly dramatic, catch you with surprises…
I feel like 40-episode long dramas like this are meant to be savored since it doesn't really give you the instant gratification that comes with some shorter 32-episode dramas for example (which are equally enjoyable!!!), but the satisfaction that comes with the MC growing and finally succeeding will be on another level

The plot is really excellent....it’s just that the supporting characters could have been fleshed out more. Still,…
I understand! I've also resigned myself to the fact that as this is a big male lead drama that seems to be a thing among actors right now, the supporting characters are more or less people that Cheng Yi and his character bounce off of in order to support his growth and help flesh out his character, and it's much more evident in the jianghu universe that's generally considered vast and dazzling with wandering martial artists....sort of like a JOL type of set up where we never see the MC with other characters for an extended period of time, nor do we see substantial fleshing out of supporting characters.

I would like to at least see the supporting characters being fleshed out even if it's only insofar as Qiushui's relationship with them is fleshed out...maybe we will see one from Liu Suifeng and Chenzhou, we will see. Nonetheless, as I am a CY fan, I see things with fan-tinted glasses and I'm happy just being able to see his face lol

Yeah ep 2 he got scared of blood after killing fu tain fu (maybe) QS was guilty and afraid. Then he killed that…
Right! It's also nice to see that he is a warrior who is stubborn and makes mistakes and as a result he suffers the consequences of those mistakes. A character who may be smart but still falls victim to oversight and betrayal adds what little bit of nuance that can be added to his character (well....as long as it ties into the plot lol). More often than not we see MCs (especially male leads ) who are so intelligent they are almost portrayed as perfect beings but here we have Qiushui, a babie who originally bumbles around but then slowly learns to find his own footing.

It's nice to see Mingming in Qiushui starting to develop his sense of chivalry - he used to want to just lie low, run away and hide behind his sworn brothers. Now we see him slowly strengthening his resolve. And it truly is a journey - we saw his first taste of blood, his first kill, his first experience of people sacrificing themselves for him and his first major loss of a cherished friend....all within a span of 8 episodes 💀 It's a surprisingly very emotional drama that dives into chivalry and sense of justice as a core element of wuxia and not just all action and fight scenes. I know we've already seen our fair share of shows with the same elements but there are quite a few these past few years that claim to be wuxia but stray away from its theme in favor of something else, or those who claim to be wuxia but isn't really the main element of the drama.

Yes its doing amaizing. Itsa pity that due to double platform we actually cant feel it 🙃
It feels like a double platform is double edged blade because while I feel that it helps with viewership, the difficulty in raising heat index for both platforms can be frustrating because the audience is divided and therefore can be a nesting place that haters can use to create anxiety and discourage fans 🙃either way, I've waited for this drama for so long that now that it's airing nothing can really dampen my spirits lol

What sleeve?? Wasn't he "recognized" by the jade plaque and a mark/scar UNDER his sleeve...
In the later part, Qiushui and Liu Suifeng needed to pretend to be the enemies. Liu Suifeng is known for his white fan, and Li Chenzhou's wife is known for her Flowing Cloud Sleeve technique. Qiushui brandished a white fan in order to be recognized as Liu Suifeng, and for Liu Suifeng to be recognized as Li Chenzhou's wife, he performed the Flowing Cloud Sleeve technique which is what she's known for I guess.

Yeah it's really trending and everyone is praising🥹
As they should! That was a beautiful fight choreography that showed a great duo teamwork, which I never got to see with LLH and FDB/DFS in MLC lol. They also mentioned how nice the color contrast between Xiao Qiushui's dark and Tang Fang's bright robes is.
