I've been seeing clips of Xiao Qiushui and Tang Fang's fight scene making the rounds on XHS and people have been saying that the clip gives anime vibes.....which makes me happy because I always thought that Qiushui and the story of his growth kinda has that shonen anime feeling and makes sense when paired with his fight scenes lol
I honestly am not ever caring about a budget over how much I love Cheng Yi and how much I already miss the drama…
Honestly, I only have a problem with production if the production itself affects the plot. I know everyone has their own tastes but I've always been the type to consume media for its plot and not whether it looks aesthetically pleasing or high-budget looking, so I don't really mind this show. Building an entire jianghu universe needs a huge budget after all.
Considering how this is a 40-episode series, you can already tell that the plot is extremely rich because the 6 episodes that have been released already covered more than half of the 8-minute trailer that was released in April. You'd think you would see more discussions about how the lead actor is digesting the plot and bringing everything - the plot, the characters and the fight scenes - together using his acting instead of whether he looks good or not but I digress lol. There are plenty of other dramas that attract viewers through aesthetics; but thanks to everyone who tried and gave this show some views anyway!
Moreover, this is very clearly a wuxia drama. I would have thought that people attempting to watch this would already know what to expect from it - and they are the plot and the fight scenes. FSH in 6 episodes already has more big fight scenes than the entirety of MLC and I am absolutely loving it! We have the intro, the fight where he awakened his muscle memory, when he saved fake Feng Lang and the entire 6th episode! Why is Cheng Yi so graceful in fight scenes??????!!!?!
About to tune in to this just as i finished rewatching MLC and i just already know that this is about to be a wuxia peak after wuxia peak π₯Ή FSH deserves to be spoiled especially after everything that happened to it!
Finallyyy itβs here!!! πππ Honestly, I donβt care about the story, the production, or whatever people…
I saw the list of brands that FSH is working with and saw M&M's....i was like okay i guess we can eat some chocolate while watching....but then I saw TOM FORD too????? It's hilarious how diverse the kinds of brands that worked with the show is but it just goes to show how they're viewing FSH and it shows their opinion on whether or not it's worth investing in
It was pretty obvious from the start how this has been an organized attack that's targetting Cheng Yi and FSH. From releasing the audio recording at the height of anticipation of FSH, to emphasizing that LKX isn't some random supporting character and is the female lead bc she has more screen time than Nazha, to flooding posts about patriotism, to directing a possibility of face changing, delays, and the drama getting buried, to tagging and harrassing the brands that have collaborated with FSH to "stop the partnership to prevent further losses", up to those tens of relentless hot searches, things were definitely planned. They didn't spare any platform and went even crazier when the Hi6 preview was announced. I hope the law firm can get to the bottom of all of this and root out whoever orchestrated this entire thing and set a precedent for future drama releases once and for all.
Does anyone know when the Hi6 episode will be uploaded on Youtube? Are they usually uploaded on the same day they're aired? π Or maybe at least a few days later? π₯Ή I'm excited to see variety god Cheng Yi.
The other fandom doesn't care about the production team's efforts. They just want to bring down the competition…
With the way they've been moving it's almost like this is a life and death situation for them and they can't afford to "lose" to a perceived rival actor of their fave's generation. Fans of talented actors do not fear competition to the point where they maliciously smear others and instead focus on letting more people know about their faves bc they know that their faves will not disappoint with their acting. They just bring people in and leave the rest to their faves. If that fandom instead spent time reflecting on themselves maybe they would understand why they don't have the greatest reputation and then they can move on from there.
You know what the funniest part is? The whole Li Kaixin incident was actually dug up by your own fans-just to…
There, there. Cheer up! It's not healthy to feel so resentful all the time. Watch the Hi6 preview with the FSH crew to make your day better. Cheng Yi was so cute and competitive during the games! He's such a sunshine little cat.
Also! Since you want to be updated, don't forget to reserve Fu Shan Hai on iQiyi and weTV! Fu Shan Hai is filled with lots of powerful yet elegant and graceful martial arts fight scenes, most of them performed by Cheng Yi himself! There are lots of sword fights and even maybe punches that land with beautiful wirework and minimal magical special effects!
I'm wondering if there are any rumors about what big drama will take over Love In Pavilion once it wraps up its run for iQiyi and if FSH has been in those rumors. There is lots of chatter on Tencent's scheduling but I don't think I've heard much on iQiyi's side.
It's Cheng Yi alone against the platform (Youku), Huanrui and production team that invested in this drama. He…
I think we can only imagine the kind of power that these platforms have in the industry. And like you said - "hopefully" they see his worth. I'm not sure that he has the luxury of hoping that other people of influence see his worth, especially with the time constraint and the fact that we don't know just how many people with power (and companies) are involved in this production and even outside of it in general. And if there actually were such people, I imagine that they would have already stepped in to help CY and back him up when he was being pressured from all sides. But alas, he still had to give in. Not to mention his agency which I'm not sure when he will be able to break free from them and the kind of control and hold that they have over him......
I really do hope that things turn for the better, most importantly for CY's sake. If all of these rumors about him being forced are true then it must be very emotionally exhausting to be enduring it all.
Me too, i cant sleep and keep crying, cant focus on anything. I thought youku has at least decency after forcing…
Although my eyebrows kinda rose upon reading what the director apparently did. I don't think there would have been any harm in addressing the issue about him being the director and saying that this is an opportunity to prove himself capable instead of beefing with fans, but what do I know about public relations lol.
And im curious on what basis they're calling this a national drama. Is it the cast? The scale of the production? Maybe the script? The more they call it names, the more high-profile it will be, and the heavier the burden and pressure on the people who are helming this drama, not to mention on CY who they're plastering as the lead

The way this drama has had drama in the beginning is definitely frustrating and you have every right to feel upset. If it makes you feel better, this is something that will make ies tougher once we are able to rise up to it. At some point we will have to make the most out of it because in the end this drama will be tied to CY's name for better or for worse. Let's hope that it will be for the better!

Putting aside the fact that the longer they delay the filming, the more money the entire production will be burning, Youku is a platform that CY currently has relations with since he is their spokesperson. CY refusing to accept this drama when Youku already announced this drama front and center in their investment events with him as the main lead (and touting it as a large-scale prod meant to be a hit) means letting Youku and the production crew lose face. If he doesnt accept, Youku WILL REMEMBER his refusal, and they will remember it not very fondly. They are still a huge company with connections in a lot of places, maybe even beyond the film and television industry. Who knows what they may do to CY. It's just not a risk worth taking especially if CY is thinking about his future.
Congrats to the deep lurk crew and chengyi! Others may have tried to blindly give it a lower score and bring it down but a good drama will always come out stronger.
