I have loved Mick & Top since "My Universe", their visuals alone... 😍 I was not disappointed at all with the first episode and I am eagerly awaiting the next.
I like this show. I watch it for the little things, like Elyes' expression as he realized what "Goodbye, Mr. Elyse" meant. (EP.4) There are some shows I watch for the lightness of it, this isn't a heavy drama nor should it be mistaken for one. I'm not looking for an Oscar winning performance (yes, I'm in the US) nor am I looking to be perpetually traumatized by a series. Is Elyse a red flag? At this point in time, he very much is. Will there be a redemption arc? Most likely.
I'll state right at the beginning there were way too many flashbacks in this final episode and too much time spent on Khing, it could have been summed up better. All in all, I loved the series and I'm looking forward to another one with everyone in it. I wrote a previous post about how hilarious I think Tim is and he did not disappoint. He definitely flaunts his "beware of short people, they are closer to Hell" energy. I did not mind one bit that Tim was hitting on AF at the end and I would love to see the spin off series with them in it. (or a special episode) Was AF misguided? Absolutely. But do I believe his moral compass was broken like Khing's? No. I don't. Everyone was very good and I enjoyed this series very much. My favorite character will always be Tim.
I can definitely see how the storyline isn't straight forward and is unfolding very slowly, but I didn't get why…
I had the same issue with that scene, I rewatched it and the only thing I could come up with is it is a continuation of Khen daydreaming at the library. I also know I could be wildly incorrect but that's what I'm going with for now.
Maybe this was never meant to be a straightforward story—the kind where you know who to root for, what to feel,…
Very well said, and now I'm going back to rewatch after reading your comment. I wondered a bit in the first episode toward the end when Mas could sense Khen in the room. I had initially thought when he was inhaling the scent around Khen he was identifying someone in the room, but, in light of your comment, Mas recognized Khen's scent. Like I said I'm going back to rewatch, thank you for the new direction to think about this.
I wanted to like this series, I did, it had potential but somewhere it went off the rails. I will admit I turned off episode 10 about ten minutes in because it felt like a chore watching it. I don't even have the wherewithal to even skim through the remainder of this series. As far as the character of Ai, I don't think I can take him whining "P'Yu" one more time. The character acts like a spoiled child 99.9% of the time.
Is anyone else enjoying Itim? I think he is hilarious. He's irreverent, sassy, mischievous, and overprotective of his older brother, while at the same time, egging him on. He's wise beyond his years wrapped in the body of a young teenager.
Do teens/young adults really behave in this invasive way with other teen/young adults who have no involvement…
I'm glad you mentioned this. I like that Kla has his boundaries firmly in place. There is no miscommunication, no reading between the lines with him. One a side note... I find the character of Bee (who delivered the arrogant comment) to be annoying as $%^$. From the way the character is written to the delivery of the lines. The high pitched, long drawn out "teasing" whine is like fingernails down a chalk board.
This shows rating is trash! This show is actually good. Open communication, consent, AN ACTUAL ROMANCE! Like I…
I very much agree with you, especially your assessment on the intimacy. Intimacy isn't always sex and that, for the majority, is what we've been sold. Those tiny touches and gentle kisses had me blushing like a kid, they were too cute.
it does you just can't use your brain. 4 Minutes is like a giant picture. with every episode a light is shown…
I hear you, and I'm trying. I get the premise, I do, but honestly, at this stage of the game (right before episode 8) I wouldn't be surprised if, at the end, Vegas wakes up next to Pete and says "Damn, I just had the wildest dream."
I was not disappointed at all with the first episode and I am eagerly awaiting the next.
