the people who are still insisting this show to be marked as on-going has got real issues. china regulations/law wont let the 2nd part air within a year so we're all gonna have this as on-going for an entire year or more?

also it's still not clear if season 2 will even air or and it'll almost 100% air under a different title, not to mention that under related content, there's already different titles/mdl pages for every 10 episodes we've had so far

so basically a prequel of the blood of youth. hopefully it's as good

uhh, almost every actress that played xiao long nu has done very, very well in their careers and it's a role that shoots them to being an A-lister while roles in legend of the condor heroes roles doesn't even compare.

and you're comparing modern CN dramas where it's led by idols or big names

sounds like mdl too. every drama no matter how trashy is rated 9 and above and they troll all the reviews that isnt a 10/10

read my review. this is basically selected cuts of LOCH and ROCH. I don't think they'll include HSDS but still there are a lot of content missing from both stories.

also GJ is written and has always been portrayed as somewhat naïve to borderline dumb in LOCH, but here he is...not...

So yeah, like I said, people praising this version of the story is basically saying that the original novels/other adaptions are bad, when they're not and is basically the reason why the wuxia genre even exists today

its lacking a coherent plot but this is basically the legend of the condor heroes in point form.

why this is getting praise is actually puzzling cus they're basically saying that Jin Yong is a bad author when he's basically the one who popularized the wuxia genre

this remake is actually closer to the original game story which is less emotional and more stand alone. that said, the story of the first game has changed as it got re released many times. this was made in 1995 when the internet was in it's infancy and the devs, a small startup back then in taiwan never imagined they'd become a massive hit that rivals final fantasy but obviously with less international reach.

it was the OG drama that pushed the romance so much harder as they didnt need to care that it was a game

the unfeeling immortal is a trope pushed by the necessary abandon of any relations with the mortals as they are short lived and its said that a day in heaven is a year for the mortals hence they would be driven crazy by grief, but all the cultivators have desires hence we have a long novel about the mc getting chased lol

I finished the WN a long time ago but this is one of those WN where almost everyone around MC has no happy ending. In the end, you could stretch it and say that this is a selfish MC.

He does have his regrets about not being able to save or help everyone around him but at the end of it, this novel is from that time where the WN authors are all "cultivation is lonely and everyone around you dies if you seek immortality" type of novel so yea...

Also the MC here has no cheat so he has to scheming and calculative or else he'd be dead. just think about his introduction to cultivation...There's no way he can be a good guy

lmao i read the novel a loooooooooooong time ago and this is one of the many medical drama with a system. sadly almost every system novel is trashed when it has a drama adaptation and it's strange but alot of medical students wrote these medical system novels.
