1st rewatch, personally i think this could easily have been a 10-12 episode drama but with the casts that they had i understand why they dragged it. I feel like you're really just supposed to enjoy this due to the casts not because of the story hence the hype but okayish ratings.
I tried to get into this and just never did, although i did finish it but that was done with a lot of skips. I have seen almost all the kdrama recommendations for this drama and i enjoyed all of those more than i did this, something tells me it's likely to do with me being able to enjoy the funny scenes in the other shows more than i did this, i didn't laugh that much nor did i find the cute scenes that cute in this show.
This was amazing although for some reason i felt like this would've worked better as a two season type drama i.e 10 episodes per season even though i didn't get to watch this whilst it was airing.
Honestly read the comments and decide if you want to put 12 hours into this. I would say that there are way more shows out there that will do more in entertaining you than this, wouldn't go as far as saying this was 10hrs+ wasted but this did nothing for me, like i'd probably recommend 100 other shows before this one.
Please also note that this is me saying this after rewatching it since it last came out and having zero memory of even watching it the first time, like it is that forgettable.
Yeah i couldn't watch this, the plot sounded interesting/familiar, it wasn't until i started watching it that i understood why. This is basically Doctor Foster, i still have very vivid memories of watching Dr. Foster as such already knowing what happens meant i couldn't continue watching this, I really should've read the fine print about this being a remake.
Can someone that has seen Dr. Foster and this explain why this is much longer i.e. theres only 2 seasons of Dr.Foster(5 episodes per season), with each episode only being an hour long.
I want to flung myself out of the window after watching nevertheless. Overhyped drama. This Songkang guy looks…
The face zooms are done on purpose, it's meant to showcase how goodlooking he is explaining why the FL keeps makind dumb decisions. He is the same actor that plays the ML in Sweet Home and he did a good job on that as well and that had nothing to do with looks. In fact, i didn't even realise that it was the same actor until recently.
The ending essentially destroyed even the small fondness i had for the show. It's realistic, i give it that much because that's the most likely ending if this happened in real life and also very glad they only made me sit through 10 episodes instead of 16 for that ending. Watched this over 2 months ago and i still get angry about the ending.
Still can't believe the lead of this is the same as Nevertheless, when i spent almost every single minute wanting to punch the ML in Nevertheless while watching it and I loved him in this so much, just goes to show that he's good at acting i guess. But yeah gimme S2 ASAP!!
Just watch it, this will go down list of great Kdrama romcoms like: When the Weather Is Fine One Spring Night Something in the Rain Tbh if you don't like any of the above you may not enjoy this, none of them are similar but they share similar pacing. I'm worried someone's going to go into watching this with very high expectations and end up disappointed but really these are the type you sit back with a hot drink and just enjoy the scenes and take everything in without skipping. I love these types of shows as usually they're very good at using silence to convey a lot of emotions.
It starts off quite silly but it gets better and better and even quite emotional. Scenes without Rain in them are automatically just better for me, I have an odd dislike for Rain which i can't seem to pin-point why or where this dislike came from as such this drama automatically loses a point from me which it regains from me being in love with how beautiful Lee Min Jung, i can just stare at the screen with anything she's in with zero care for the plot.
Rewatching something means that the honeymoon is over and you start to notice the bad things about a show, this is the case with this one Hwang Jung Eum exaggerated expressions makes this difficult to watch i still standby my statement in saying that her best acting is in 'Secrets' everything else i've seen of her has been saved by the good story/other great actors like in Kill me, Heal me, i'm probably going to rewatch other shows of hers at some point but i didn't even make it past episode 5 of this and ended up rewatching 'Rich Man' instead which i consider to be worse than this show it but was still watchable for me unlike this one.
Maybe it's because i'm a sucker for anything that can make me laugh, but this had me laughing from the beginning to ending which meant that i really loved/enjoyed this series and i'm quite surprised by comments of people saying it's boring. especially love how refreshing some characters are.
I agree that it's a good show but by ep 18 i was fed up with constant misunderstandings between the main leads and just wanted it to end, this could be because i have seen it already years ago but not something i'd rate highly in terms of how rewatchable it is...
The most memorable drama with the most forgetable name, watched this around when it first came out and loved every single moment, zero skips, the story doesn't drag and the actors came with their A game. One of Hwang Jung Eum best dramas, as someone said in the comments she's normally terrible at sad/dramatic scenes always ends up looking awkward/cringey but she really came through on this one. I just rewatched this after coming across it by chance, like i said the name didn't sound like something i had watched but the minute i read the plot, i started remembering everything about it and had to watch it again. This is different from most dramas i.e don't expect to laugh every minute but definitely give this a watch.
Only thing i can say is that if something has such a low rating, there's probably a good reason for it, not saying its a bad drama but there's just so much better dramas out there, it doesn't make sense to watch this unless you've already seen all the highly rated ones.
Went on a rabit hole looking for Kim So Yeon dramas that i hadn't seen and ended up on this, thought i'd try watching the first two seasons before watching this and never made it past the 30min mark on both, friendship that lasted 10yrs+ now trying turning into romance just sounds like something bad for my blood pressure, because i'd end up being irrated at every point. I have been watching Kdramas for nearly 15 years now and this is the first time in a very long time that i haven't finished a kdrama that isn't longer than 50+ episodes. Although i eventually finished watching this season, by episode 6 i just couldn't wait for it to end.
It's not a bad drama but it doesn't feel special, it was that funny or interesting, it's okay at best. I don't know why i feel the need to compare it to "Can Love Become Money" but that drama is soo much better than this even though the plotfor that doesn't sound that interesting. This was a great reminder that i should stick to watching dramas with plots I like rather than watching simply because someone i like is in it.
