When the present time shows up( episode 23) they start the journey to reconcile. You can see from that episode onward that they are still in love but the situation is not that great)

One of the reasons i kinda wished LiXun should have been more straightforward. Why not take revenge with ZY by your side? She literally gave up her future by starting to work in a small company with him, because she really wanted LiXun to get back on his own feet but with a criminal record seemed impossible. They both screwed up because they were young( ZY hating FZJ and LiXun acting on impulse), yet one thing that is noticeable is their LOVE. The way they looked at each other and made sacrifices. Like he finally figured she cares a lot about him or else she could have just had a good time abroad. That's why he apologized and mentioned "Normal Colleagues". He was not sure of the entire relationship because he was still confused after he got out of prison. But again, He kept the photo. These two never actually broke up officially. Even after LiXun deliberately pushed ZY away, she still went back.

Same here :)) Just switch to a different genre; for example go for historical Cdramas. I usually watch a short Japanese drama to cleanse :))) but some Jdramas are so sad and heartbreaking that makes you hate it lol
