Oh really!!! I can't access Douban ratings or Weibo etc (plus can't read Chinese) so I do appreciate it when commenters come in with information like this. I don't usually worry about the ratings I just like imo what is a quality good drama to be appreciated by more people but hey... we can't always get what we want in life. Thank you for this.

Yes, I started binge watching K & C drama over the last year, trying to explore a range of genres and I think I'm at the point where I know in the first few minutes whether its going to be worth persevering or not...for my tastes. I can also appreciate why fanbases grow. I myself have been guilty of watching some questionable plots and loose, very loose holes in reality only because I'm very fond of the lead actor/s. Heheheh

Thanks, I understand its all about the business returns on their product. Never mind the quality. I've heard about the power of the Asian fanbases who are sometimes able to sway decisions and markets. I did not even attempt to start Flight to You even though I often enjoy some of Seven Tans work.I guess how many people read The Booker Prize Winners and how many people read a Marvel Comic.....

I fail to understand why Flight to You is rated No 1 on C-Ent data sites and yet Meet Yourself is only No 2....

I've just finished the finale of Part 2 and I loved it. I hear and understand the frustrations of the various groups who didn't get to see JSM or the more technical aspects raised in Part 1 answered or closed off in Part 2. Can anyone remind me....please....apologies if this is repetition...

I just saw a preview and there were no Eng subs yet. Does Hongdou go back to Beijing? It seems like shes saying goodbye to Yao? This is not a spoiler as I couldn't understand what was being said and could be completely wrong.....

WJT has lovely expressive eyes with a warm smile. He has potential and hope he gets more leading roles. Plus what a voice.

I hope he has a successful career in dramaland if that's what he wants. He has charisma - it comes across well on screen.

I so can empathise. Nice to share. Even though I'm now more experienced and wiser in what I choose to watch there are still emotional hits we take. I love a historical drama and the trailer visuals of The Red Sleeve looked lovely. I knew it was a sad tale but thought I could just drop out. Too late ...was hooked after first episode and with trepidation watched the rest with boxes of tissues. tea jerker was an understatement.I deliberated whether to watch the last episode as viewers were given option to stop at 16 and have a HEA or watch 17 for the reality. Mistake,watched last episode at night and next morning woke up literally feeling depressed. This year I purposefully watched Law Cafe to see Lee Se-young ALIVE and HAPPY as compensation. I really needed to see that!

Yes, I agree with your sentiments about the unexpected consequences of mismatched expectations. I shall always remember how I clicked onto Marriage Contract thinking this was going to be a fun K drama Rom Com - I mean look at the title AND I hadn't found out about MDL or searching for reviews first. OMG, I just sobbed throughout - heart wrenching and no one told me one of the Leads was going to DIE. Was waiting for the HEA.....learnt my lesson from then on.
