I'm not up to date yet but had a question that may have been covered off already. Why is Master Lee so physically youthful and not representative of his age? Given hes over 100+ years. Is this because he has mastered Hwansu, the god like power? So literally is he immortal?
This also begs the question, if this premise is correct then Master Seo Gyeong, the founder of Songrim is still alive and will appear later to either solve some riddles or problems? Just a thought.

Is it to be the best and strongest mage? Is it to restore MD energy? Nope, its because MD asked for a favour to take her to the top of her beloved tree again. Ahhh......interesting.

Disappointed with the pacing of the last few episodes and the character portrayal of FL who was impressive the opening of this series. It was great to see a strong and independent thinking of a FL but she has lost her way in making decisions and listening to her instincts with SML. I'm going to have to downgrade my rating.

A savvy review. I agree with your points. Some Day or One Day is an iconic gold standard of drama. You can't really mess with the best. I wish AHS all the best to fill Greg Hsu's performance - perhaps they will adapt and change story to suit a Korean audience?

This is what I'm doing as life is too short to be feeling sad after all the efforts they've made to be together. So ratings people be aware! We are happy to wait for good things but NOT for any more suffering.
