So sungjoon isn't the Real culprit but he's hunted by yonnjae's spirit who's the Real killer....
Cool theory, but I don’t necessarily agree with it. At the end of episode 8, we see SJ encounter someone who looks to be the culprit. SJ and the culprit interacted, since the culprit even knocked him out with an injection, which I suppose was some sort of hallucinogen/sedative- considering that SJ hallucinated blood on his hands. That being said, the DID (dissociative identity disorder) theory doesn’t seem too plausible.
I think the reason behind SJ’s presence after every murder, and the fact that he always appears at the wrong times, is purely just for the suspense factor. I think the writers just wanted to make SJ look suspicious as to let the audiences guard down against any other potential perpetrators.
Although, it IS suspicious how SH told EK NOT to trust SJ. I mean, it made sense (but didn’t make sense at the same time) for him to tell her to not trust HIM. After all, we found out just how many secrets SH has, so he’s not entirely unrelated to the whole case..
I also don’t think the writers would go for that supernatural spirit-possession route, haha.
I definitely agree. RSJ’s voice and the culprit’s are uncannily similiar, but it’s probably a stunt the…
In terms of the culprit culprit, I think it’s only one person (most likely 13). I’ve seen a pattern in kdramas where shamans basically predict the future events of the show, so I don’t believe that the real YJ, number 13, is really dead. The culprit is probably number 13. Meanwhile, the other kids who escaped from the shelter, such as SH and IS, most likely banded together as an orchestrated group to stop the actual culprit.
Judge Ryu definitely came in to help Eunki. Also I think in episode 9, there was a scene where the culprit talks…
I definitely agree. RSJ’s voice and the culprit’s are uncannily similiar, but it’s probably a stunt the writers are pulling to make us believe that SJ is suspsicious. I also saw some comments that said IS’s voice is similiar to SJ’s, so if the culprit is not SJ, it could be IS 🤷🏻♀️
So I recently picked up this drama, and after a few episodes in, what I’m about to say might be considered an unpopular opinion, but I feel like I would totally watch a drama primarily centered around the two main leads, Ha Min and So Mang. HM’s actor and SM’s actress have so much chemistry. I can’t help but get butterflies when they interact. But I can’t seem to feel that with the second CP.
Also, I understand that the actress for BM is a rookie (as well as some of the others in the drama, too), but I cannot seem to watch her act. If I’m being honest, BM’s actress isn’t immersed in her role. Instead, she’s too focused on wanting to look good for the camera. I don’t feel this way with the others, which is probably because they’re all experienced, seasoned actors and actresses.
IMHO, the actress for BM shouldve kickstarted her acting career as a supporting actress before gradually making her way to a lead role.
So I rewatched episode 4, and found something quite interesting. Recall that CSG called SH out after trial, saying that he knew something that, if leaked, could potentially ruin SH’s reputation for good. Lets assume the information CSG was referring to was how he saw number 7, aka ATH, in the courtroom. If this was really the case, why would it ruin SH’s reputation? From what we know, ATH was a good guy, and only bad thing he did was rat out his friends when he was being held at the shelter. If CSG’s intent was to expose ATH, then he would be in trouble as well, since he worked at the shelter and abused the kids. That being said, what was CSG really about to say to SH?
Do you have any idea why RSJ's hands are covered in blood at the end of ep 8 ? Killer coat was dirty with blood…
The killers coat wasn’t dirty. Otherwise, it would’ve seeped through their outer coat. I think it’s definitely a hallucination. After all, SJ hasn’t been in his right state of mind ever since he stepped foot into the Hope Welfare Center.
And who knows? SJ could’ve hallucinated the culprit too. Could the blood on his hands be symbolic?
am i the only one who's trying to figure out who's the killer by pausing every second when he appears haha i also…
That was also me haha. From the looks of it, it’s someone who is slim and has a square-ish, well-defined jawline, and is most likely a man too. I think I described half of the male cast tbh lmao.
Also, does anyone think they know why RSJ has a poster on his wall that says: “Don’t worry. Everything will…
Theories (SPOILERS AHEAD)
I noticed that, when the culprit gave the snack and drink to the little kid, it was the exact same meal that the police chief gave to #11 in the past when he tried to flee from the center. However, the culprit used the name Yoon Jae when JMC asked who he was.. just think about it, only #11 remembers vividly what that meal was, so does that make #11 a possible suspect who’s just using YJ’s name to cover up? However, considering how sweet the relationship between #11 and #13 seems, this is pretty unlikely. Why on earth would #11, who had a good relationship with YJ, use his name to disguise his crimes?
Perhaps YJ has dual personality. I know that this isn’t a popular opinion, but he displays some of the symptoms of DID. Based on some loose research, those with DID tend to have memory loss and flashbacks, which we see RSJ display. Perhaps the trauma was so severe to him as a kid that he developed this disorder?
So far, we see everything point to RSJ as being the culprit, but who knows? the writers could pull a Mouse on us where they make one person look the most suspicious, when in reality, it was someone else all along.
I also think that RSJ could either be boy #11 or #13. That explains how he has the memories.
One final point: When Choi Soon-Gil said he recognized someone from the past during JMC’s court trial, it could either be Ahn Tae Ho (who I suspect to be the center runaway boy who got his foot caught in the trap), RSJ, or RSH.
Also, does anyone think they know why RSJ has a poster on his wall that says: “Don’t worry. Everything will work out in the end” ?
Personally, I find this to be a bit.. odd? Like, he just plastered a single motivational quote on his wall and wakes up everyday to it? It looks so out of place IMO.
Any ideas?
Also, towards the end of episode 4, at the scene where Won Woong opens the door, thinking that his father (Jung Man-Chun) arrived home, we first see a hazy black figure. But then the camera slowly moves and it seems like ANOTHER figure wearing a muddy green coat appears behind the black figure. I don’t know about y’all, but this outfit looks awfully similar to RSJ’s outfit.. strangely, there are too many incidences that lead to our protagonist, could this all really be planned or coincidental?
My theory is....1) Jung in sung is the killer....."jung yoong jae"...He is that small boy who looks at the roof…
Ehh, I’m not sure if I’m on board with this theory. In one of the episodes, we can see the culprit hang the pictures of every single jury member, including JIS. If JIS was the culprit, why would he hang his own picture?
JIS may have some revelance to the story, but as of now, I don’t think he’s on my ‘suspected' list.

I didn’t know anything regarding the court stuff, so thanks for letting me know!
And who knows? SJ could’ve hallucinated the culprit too. Could the blood on his hands be symbolic?
I don’t know, but my gut is telling me that the culprit is none of the two brothers.
