Episode 6 is an absolute masterpiece. The cinematography, the cool tones, the music placement, the micro expressions, the suppressed gay.. oh.. the SLOWBURN IS PAYING OFF. I can’t wait to see our constipated gay (Xia Liuyi: What did you just call me?) open up his heart for our Elite He.

I watched the first episode. Cinematography is flawless as always. CDL and JJY are very beautiful. However, I didn’t expect to get a whole expedition dump in the 1st 10 minutes of the show. I already forgot half of the characters names lol. It kind of threw me off. The bass-boosted flute that spawns out of nowhere is also a bit funny. I don’t know why this suddenly became a stylistic choice of GJM, as it was more toned down in MJTY and FOF.
The pacing is also very fast, which makes me worried that GJM will try to cram everything in 29 episodes, but I guess we’ll have to see how everything plays out!
