Title Reborn Rich
It was a 7.5 for me until the ending.... After the ending, it's an 8 :) It's self-explanatory that the past can't be changed if it had already happened. It could have been an 8.5 if it didn't feel like watching Detective Conan (the protagonist always overcomes every hurdle). As for the romance aspect, I'm happy with the open ending (for the audience to interpret it however they like). I really believe Seo Min Young added nothing (the chemistry was weak, and not needed for this type of genre), but I guess she wouldn't help the protagonist out so much if feelings weren't involved. As for the kinda tedious plot-twist filled middle part of the show, the relationship between the protag and grandpa were what kept me intrigued. Did I binge it? Yes. Will I rewatch it? Most likely not.

I'm gonna go against the wave, and say that I actually liked the ending. 😄 I honestly did; I understood it,…
I'm riding the wave with you!
On The New Employee Dec 30, 2022
I was actually very hesitant about another boss-employee setting (since I'm watching The Director who buys me dinner: and it's disappointing), but 2 episodes in and this seems really wholesome! The boss is not a possesive, stuck-up poker-faced stereotype, on the contrary he's decent and caring. And Seung Hyun is a quick-witted ray of sunshine whose smile is contagious. No unlikable characters so far :) Hope it stays as good 🤞🏻🤞🏻
On The Director Who Buys Me Dinner Dec 30, 2022
Just my opinion, but the Director is such a stereotypical "stern, possesive seme" character- it's a bit off-putting considering the amount of times I've seen his personality in other stories. I like Dongbaek so far, but it'd be great if he grew his spine back. What can I say about Dennis? Apart from the story taking a dramatic (very manhwa-like overly-dramatic) turn every time he's on screen, I don't have a problem with him and hope he gets a good ending lol
I don't know why people are complaining, I think it wrapped the show in a tight, pretty bow. I agree that the middle part of the movie was too slow, too dragged out. The beginning was just adorable, and the ending made me tear up (being closeted in a homophobic household really makes me cry over every and any parental representation haha). Overall, wholesome, worth a watch (not a rewatch, like I do with the series). A solid 7.5 for me.

Title The Untamed
Ah yes, my 6th time rewatching it (not counting the special edition). Withdrawals are strong with this one ahahah.
On Takara-kun & Amagi-kun Oct 2, 2022
Don't get me wrong, the show is kinda cute, but the story progression is so slow... and it feels like the conflict in each episode has been almost the same. In the end of ep 6 I thought - finally! Something different happened lol. The characters could be more fleshed out (maybe they are, but I don't remember cause I'm watching weekly releases and it's not very memorable). It could easily be a 6 episode series if not for all the tediously slow filler shots. Another thing I don't understand is why JBL can't use the actor's real hair, or at least realistic wigs..... I will end my rant on: Katori best boy.

Thank you for this comment, I've been trying to find people sharing my opinion but for some reason everyone is…
I completely agree! And there are so many new Japanese bl series that have good storyline (and thus one can overlook the over-the-top behavior). I would recommend My beautiful man, Zettai BL and Cherry Magic as some good examples of: yes, the characters have unrealisti quirks but that can be overlooked due to the story, character growth and humour/drama (all 3 factors this show, sadly lacked). So much manga to chose from, hopefully next adaptations turn out well!

So...is it finally over? Really? Thank goodness! Never have I felt as betrayed as with this series (or maybe I…
Thank you for this comment, I've been trying to find people sharing my opinion but for some reason everyone is rating it a 10/10 💀

I completely agree, and I forced myself through all current 11 episodes (on 2x speed). It was so painful to watch, but all the 9-10 star reviews tricked me into believing this show deserved a chance? I applaud you for dropping it, I found the entire premise, age gap and constant coercion/borderline harassment disturbing (plus, all the characters stay one-dimentional, and no one develops any personality).

Title Method
Saying its not BL is like saying Goblin is not a BG drama, just a fantasy drama. So yeah its a psychological drama…
You're right, and looking back I do believe that the idol developed real feelings for the hyung. Yes, there are BL elements.

Title Method Spoiler
The amount of people who don't understand that just like the name of the film, the characters "feelings" for each other are a result of the emotional toll method acting brings. The idol, being a new actor, fell deep into the role faster and pursued the hyung, who I suspect has been pushing his wife to the edge every time he got sucked into a role (and the poor woman still decides to stay with him until the next time she gets hurt). The movie is not BL, it's a psychological drama.
