I KNEW it reminded me of typical p*rn scenarios when the bad actor guy randomly comes back dressed in.... Japanese high school uniform, and they suddenly have wine on hand, and get right to business π I mean... they did the intimate scenes very realistically. That's about it.
Rewatched this cause I remember giving this show an 8/10 out of spite for Soga haters in the comments... I'm lowering it to 7.5 cause although they're super cute together, I'm a Sakae hater now >:) Him and Mizuki should go be toxic together (also where tf did Mizuki come from, he ain't there in the manga, ew character addition). Forever love Kanda and Kaname as the besties tho <3
Started with potential, watched on 1.5x after ep 3, 2x speed after ep 5.... KBLs have been churned like butter and the quality has been rolling downhill since. I'd rather they take time and release a few of actual quality. Overall: watchable, if there is nothing else for the day.
Honestly not a fan of 2-3 min episode format but this was genuinely cute (in a typical Japanese "overacting cute" way). I don't think I'd watch a full series with this kinda plot, so it works as a short film.
Thanks for this! You dedicated it to the right person too, because I loathe any BL out of Thailand. I used to…
The 3 JBL you mentioned are my top favourites, so I was surprised someone actually picked them as well. Really enjoyed reading your comment and would rather read it again than watch any Thaibl. I am now interested in your recommendations. The last Thaibl I actually completed was "180 degree longitude passes through us" - I think you would like the story telling aspect of it. But of course Japan, Taiwan, and 90s Leslie Cheung movies are always my go-to.
THANK YOU!! I dropped it after ep 1 and it saddens me because I was looking forward to it. Thailand should stop remaking JBLs altogether (for example, Cherry magic Thailand was alright but again - a remake can't surpass original masterpiece). The actors here are the top popular GMMTV couple right now, and that's all the show got going for it. I didn't know actors of Haruta and Ossan before Ossan's Love, but after binging the show they made me go and watch the actors other works - their performance was just so impactful. Thailand spends all their funds on popular actors rather than cinematography, soundtrack, or story. The original has humour, crazy transitions, and a gorgeous soundtrack that I go back and listen to from time to time. I showed it to all my friends. But this remake I had to watch on 1.75 15 minutes into ep 1. YAWN.
Ngl Jin and Ryoma have more chemistry than Jin and Miki/Nokaze or Saki, and I'm mid season 2 and that still stays (just had to put this down in words lol). Was surprised to see Uchino Seiyou right after watching him in 'Kinou nani tabeta' like pookie whatcha doing here pfft (he's such a versatile actor).
They treat each other so soft, every gaze, touch and even tone of voice is so gentle. The actors are doing a phenomenal job at making me believe that they are in love. The cuddling in bed scene even got them playing footsie for a couple of seconds and everything just seemed so natural. Don't even mind the mild kisses - they don't need more intimacy to portray the characters feelings. Can't wait to see how the rest unfurls.
The first 4 episodes were good and had potential, what happened? I was upset when we all thought the show was cancelled due to censorship, but at least back then my opinion about it was better... 6.5/10 just for the acting of the main leads and it being a Chinese BL.
They make my heart flutter, not many shows do that. The intimacy doesn't make me want to claw my eyes out - it's awkward, but in an endearing coming-of-age way. This is actually really good.
Finally finished it after months and although it's not a bad sequel, it was a little underwhelming. I wanted to know if there's more to Takatsuki's powers. The ending just summed up to - forgiveness and power of friendship. Maybe it was just rushed to be wrapped up?
can u explain the entrance day/fight to me, im still lost lol
From what I understood - Do Hoe heard his dad beat Ju Yeong, ignored it and started heading to school, but changed his mind in the middle and ran to call the police. Then he proceeded to run back to school and that's when he met Hyeon Ho who told him what he already knew (I π΄π΅πͺππ can't figure out how ππΊπ¦π°π― ππ° knows). Hyeon Ho thinks it's his fault Do Hoe failed, hence he kept Do Hoe's secret when they met on uni premises.
I loved episodes 1-3, then it lost me, and picked me back up on 7-8! I really didn't expect to love the plot twist as much as I did. The last scene with Do Hoe reading Ju Yeong's old emails made me a lil emotional ngl. A solid 8/10 show for me - ignoring the dip in quality in the middle episodes.
