Felt sorry for Niimi throughout, but liked the ending. First half of the show I got frustrated at how everyone was unreasonable and mean to him, expecting him to pick up on the kawaii culture or whatever whilst knowing he's a newbie. I'd snap a few times as well, but he turned out to be mature. Not much of a reward value, but I rated it 6.5/10, was an enjoyable watch. Started the show for Chiba, obviously.
Frustrating to watch, but so much fun that I binged it. A solid 8/10 for me. Low rewatch value, but I will highly…
P.S. Captivated by Dong Cheol, and think he deserves so much more. Man Hee was my second fave when he displayed how much of a smart, loyal and purehearted character he is.
Frustrating to watch, but so much fun that I binged it. A solid 8/10 for me. Low rewatch value, but I will highly recommend to those who also enjoy psychological drama.
I never watched soap opera/lakorn before (I grew up surrounded by Indian serials), so I never thought I will be so captivated by one! It's super extreme/dramatic, but kept me so entertained I binged it in a matter of days. Really kept my morale up whilst I have been kicked out of the house for being queer. Loved the character's developments the most - kept me thinking, "my parents could never" lmao. A solid 8/10 for me, none of the characters were unlovable (Chan was iconic!), and the rewatch value is high as well. Hope to see more gl/bl (and hopefully even trans) inclusive lakorn in the future.
Im a bit confused about the ending. Is the Yuki and Shuyuuhei gonna continue their relationship?
Yes!! The awkwardness!! I don't know if they wanted to portray the fact that they're finally comfortable being all together in one room or something (that could have been shown by all 3 sleeping on the same bed), but it felt like they just ended up where they started: Misaki wanting Yuuki, Yuuki wanting Shuuhei, and Shuuhei wanting them both. So the atmosphere, in turn, did not feel as comfort but rather that they're all faking it/forcing themselves to seem content. I wanted to like this show, I really did, but the ending ain't it.
I had doubts in the first 2 episodes since I was still getting used to the style (odd editing and music placement) of the series... but now as I watched episode 6, I am glad to have continued. Luckily, the spoilers never found me, and I am gonna wait patiently another week for more.
My mommy issues couldn't handle this ;_; I wish I had Jun's mom,,, instead I gotta live in the closet forever. Welp, I have no other words for now - an 8/10 for me, will 100% rewatch it for years to come and cry again. Love it.
I'm enjoying this so much.... (But I do agree with comments against camera-angled kisses. If their lips ain't touching, just change kisses to confessions and a hug at this point).
No attack from me, I agree with everything you said (especially the bit about therapy, how did nobody put smol…
And apparently he did get diagnosed with ptsd (in the flashback where he drew his adoptive mom [splattered in blood] as his favourite thing. Alas, therapy probably doesn't exist in Asian fiction since mental illness is still overlooked and getting help is considered shameful. P.S. thanks for specifying you're not attacking hahaha
Could have been a 7/10 for me, but because of how rushed episode 7 was, I'll give it a 6. Not only that, I'd love to see the progression of character development? So you're telling me they've been seeing each other for a year since that drunken meeting, and they can't even hold hands? Riiight. Aside from their horrible pale makeup and undercooked personalities (which I would have really liked if we saw them more often), I enjoyed Tae Hyun's character. His problematic actions stemming from unresolved childhood trauma (therapy, he needs it) reminded me of my dramatic outbursts and experience with sh in my teen years - especially the part when someone I liked told me "you're too much for me". But of course, since the story is with a happy ending, let's throw in a 2 year time skip and solve everything with a compromise of a confession. This π€π°πΆππ₯ have been better (and I'm still rooting for Our dating sim). I would not like to be attacked for my opinion, but at the same time, I'm commenting on a public forum, so go ahead.
Instead of going in-depth about the side characters, I wish they'd focus more about Ritsu's past, repentance, guilt and redemption. I still find what he did not very easily forgivable (although one might say that being emotional due to the world ending may influence anyone's judgement). I do like the ending tho. Could be an 8/10 for me, but a 7.5 is still pretty high in my ratings.
P.S. thanks for specifying you're not attacking hahaha
