I rewatched this the other day, but the extended version. Two years on, and it held up pretty well. I was impressed the first time around, so I was slightly nervous doing the rewatch, but it didn't falter. I hope this will make it to more people's watch lists. I just finished Family Matters, and I'm curious to see what else Coupang Play has 'cause I didn't realise Anna was one of theirs too.
Idk why I loved Family matters more than Light shop I found loght shop weird a bit .
I think that’s fair. Family Matters is a bit more on the nose (not in a negative way). It presents as it is. Whereas, Light Shop is like slowing peeling back an onion.

Can I just say, the acting in the scene where the daughter realises the shopkeeper is her father and gestures so with the sweets and then the scene after with her and her daughter as she pleads with her and tries to will her to live... some of the best acting this year.
I'm not quite sure I have the words to capture how intricate and layered this drama was. The amalgamation of several genres, but not once does it feel wrong. And so many time-stopping scenes in the final episodes 😠I believe it was an intentional choice to have this close the year. Just wow...
There is a tendency to equate liking a character with a good drama. A good drama can consist of characters you…
I agree with the initial sentiment, and I've had this discussion with a few people. There's been a real shift in how we critique dramas and its become very rudimentary. That said, I don't think that applies hereðŸ˜. There's a difference between a "bad" character and bad/poor writing of said character. This is unfortunately the latter (for myself anyway and it seems like a few others in this comment section).
I have similar sentiments with this show that I had with Good Partner (2024). Two shows that had a lot of potential but didn't quite hit the mark. Really interesting plots to follow along with the Auditing team, but so many niggling issues. Not enough to eclipse the entire series, but they're there.
I thought this was so-so, but it was definitely one of the better shows of the year. I just assumed they were laying the groundwork for season 2. It's a shame it's been cut short.
I don't think this was great by any means, if anything it was just about average. However, it was reminiscent of older kdramas, which felt super nostalgic. I think that's a hard essence to capture nowadays. But as someone averse to anything cringe, I loathed the sister's storylineðŸ˜
All the best shows coming out towards the end of the year is both criminal and oddly fitting. What a way to wrap up 2024. This and Light Shop will be a hard act to follow if there are any last minute premieres 😠Heck, I'll still be thinking about them well into the new year
And the realisation as to why the nurse carries the tupperware of tomatoes :(
It’s so that when the passing spirits talk to her, and she murmurs in agreement, it looks like she’s simply eating. It seems like she encounters a few
I have to agree with the last several comments concerning the ending and the slow decline of the show. I wish they could’ve been a bit more intentional. That said, I found the sisterhood beautiful and it gave me some hearty laughs. Wish it could’ve maintained that essence.
I did like this drama, but I don’t necessarily think it needed 16 episodes. Once they concluded the main plot, it felt like awkward side missions. I would’ve liked a tad more emotional depth with some of the cases, with a maybe more detailed client-lawyer dynamic. That said, I did love the pairing of the leads.
