it had issues, especially with pacing, and the acting and chemistry was good when it was good, and bad when it was bad. there were a few things with the plot and writing i particularly didn't like or found incredibly boring and stale. but i didn't mind the last episode, i was disappointed with the actual ending itself because i don't like these endings, they're too cliche for me... but it was an overall good last episode. i found myself tearing up during all of it, and even though i am a crybaby, i wasn't as neutral with the show as i thought. honestly, i can't see myself remembering much about this show since the montage made me remember things i already forgot, but it was enjoyable for some episodes and something to have on in the background at it's absolute worse. the fahsai plotline was probably the worst it got for me, which i think is pretty good. the leads are incredibly mature despite much of this being seemingly immature in acting, so i liked how they had a healthy communication but it didn't take away much tension or intrigue. it's an okay show, not one of the best, but certainly enjoyable and inoffensive, which is something i think we all need every once in a while.
That was more of a semi wedding I'd say. There was no kiss, no vows exchanging and the priest didn't pronounce…
i doubt it’s legally binding since i don’t think they’re over the age of 18 and didn’t get permission from both of their legal guardians… although im not sure how it works in thailand, if it’s vastly different from where im from, but id assume it’s similar. it’s definitely supposed to be more symbolic since that is how romeo & juliet did it as well.
Everyone can have different opinions and I respect that.. but I personally hated Blue in this ep. She did not…
thats fine. i didn't wanna be too rude since it's fiction and we can all have our own opinions, but ty for reading and understanding. i hope you enjoyed the last episode regardless, i haven't watched it as i am replying to this, but i hope you were able to enjoy it!
as of episode 7, i like that bulan is getting her own storyline aside from her whole karmic soulmate thing… finally… i sort of wish this krating side plot was solved a BIT earlier but we still have a few more episodes to go so im hoping for the best! anyway this episode is a lot better than the few have been, i actually feel invested and wanting to see more, something i haven’t felt for this show since episode 1. hoping they don’t drop the ball on the last bit here.
okay ep two, i sort of like how the show just doesn’t really take itself seriously. nant’s character is more preferred from me rather than a character like parn in pls love. nant is very sneaky and tricky, but is very good at what she does, which makes sense. i’m not a huge fan of her actress’ acting, but im a big fan of chat’s actress. anyway i hope the rest of the show is good especially when it starts getting serious like all of these shows do.
lol i actually found it funny. it’s very over the top and crazy. the wedding reminded me of something that would happen to the sims in my sims 3 save. just absolute campy craziness. i think i even saw chat’s actress almost lose character. seemed like they were having a lot of fun. nant’s acting can get a bit too much where she sort of acts a bit too cute and over extends her words but i don’t mind the silliness as much. i find it more funny than other shows that attempt at humour. i thought the first episode was pretty fun, but this sort of premise is getting old with GLs. i can see why people have attached themselves so much to a show like khom khlang because this sort of dynamic is just everywhere.
I don't get why neither of them are telling Fahsai anything. Even if Nana wasn't there, Vee has 0 interest in…
okay when i first received your reply i read this like 50 times i swear but i have read it again now and i think we agree? vee comes off as genuinely dense and i kinda like that about her, i just didn't like how nana came off... especially since nana had no idea if vee liked fahsai? i had this thought last week, where you could very well read vee's behaviour with fahsai as her liking her back (from a pov of a character in the show, like nana, not us, the audience, since we knew the depth of vee's feelings), so i feel a bit more for fahsai because there was nothing from vee that came off as she didn't like fahsai. even when nana was rejecting her on vee's behalf, vee looked pretty clueless... i wouldn't blame fahsai if she thought nana was backstabbing her (bc she literally was) and thought vee didn't agree w it but couldn't say anything. idk!
Just caught up with this show. How is this 7.2?? You guys are so meannnn
the show is bad. the pacing is terrible and the acting is subpar at best. i don't think it's mean to see these things as issues, and i also don't think it's "dumb" to like this show. we all have different tastes. if you like it, then good on you, but that doesn't mean a low-rating is undeserved. it just means you should still check things out even if they're low-rated if they suit your tastes. i rated this show poorly but other shows that are higher rated i find just as bad as this show or even worse. but it's not indicative of those who do rate it high or low.
In a way, as long as Pheem doesn't fix her wrong mindset about Parn, their relationship isn't really going to…
agree w you 100%. i def think peem is just in a heavyyy state of denial. i feel like this show is trying very hard to make SW seem redeemable and humanize them, while also making it VERY clear that parn isn't one and almost like she is "above" it. it's a very difficult message to navigate if you look too hard, so i understand if many people are not looking too hard.
might be nitpicky but i don't really like the plot skkskss i understand it for #plot reasons and it makes sort of sense in-universe but i just couldn't get behind it... also i wonder if there will be reasons behind why xinxin's mom doesn't know stuff about feng shui??? sksks. i know it's for comedic reasons to be flabbergasted, but, i feel like if my kid was obsessed w feng shui i'd sort of see any "eccentricities" and take them in stride. i think it would've been funnier if her mom was even more of an expert tho lol.
it's not too bad though xinxin's actress is... well, let's hope for the best. i definitely think the last half of the episode does better than the first half, so i hope it'll be at least tolerable, even if the premise itself isn't super for me lol.
I have to admit, I don't get the hype about this series. Premise itself seems legit, all the ghost/mystery environment…
i agree! i don’t really feel anything for it either. it feels like it needs more time but then wastes time on other things like gags that are unnecessary. i also don’t find myself really enjoying the characters, especially peem and bulan, let alone their romance. it’s hard because it’s soooo popular, which im happy for others but i just don’t see the hype 😭
tbh i wasn’t feeling chris and sun at first but now i kinda love them. i think they’re cute. i also like the conflict they’re having. knowing GL it probably won’t be anything that will seriously reflect badly on sun, but i like that she is getting a bit of depth and actually kind of acting on a selfishness! i think it’s really making this show head in an interesting direction. i hope for the best for chris tho, i just want her to be happy.
Everyone can have different opinions and I respect that.. but I personally hated Blue in this ep. She did not…
i don't wanna fight you, but i think you are being unfair tho. you are also thinking like the families, blue knows that pakkard's life is being sacrificed because of this feud. what makes either side have any right to decide who gets and who gets to die? what would pakkard's death solve? i think that you thinking that pakkard being undeserving of being SPARED, is well... why was yi spared, then? isn't what pakkard doing just also justice? wasn't what yi did also justice for what he believed? that's blue's point, and what the writing is trying to do for blue. EVERY person here believed they were in the right, BUT. none of them were, because they all had their own sense, but pakkard's death would do NOTHING but push the feud, especially when pakkard is being manipulated by blue's dad. i think blue was being VERY kind to tokyo considering yi killed pakkard's dad AND threatened and burnt blue. but pakkard had done so much for them, and i hope in the next episode blue tells tokyo that pakkard was being manipulated, so why can't tokyo extend any critical thought for that, too? i don't think this situation could be reversed, because blue would never do what tokyo did. and thats why i think the writing in this is great, blue and tokyo are excellent characters, they NEEDED this conflict, it was looming over them for ever, and i am a bit sad that everyone is immediately blaming blue for it. where's the nuance, people...
reading these comments really shows me how much people actually DO take family feuds into account... i like the conflict here. i understand both sides, but i don't like how people are being so hard on blue. like, i am pretty sure tokyo would feel the same if yi was in pakkard's place, but also, i don't think blue would act this way for yi. because i don't think blue wants to continue the cycle of death, especially because blue KNOWS the extent of the kongpurim family. tokyo has been entirely protected from the monchaitrakuls, even to the final episode, but blue had been bullied by the town and was threatened and burned by yi, so she KNOWS. but she doesn't want to continue. like blue trusted yi in spite of it all because she trusted tokyo. she is upset that tokyo doesn't trust her, because blue knows that pakkard was being manipulated. i hope she talks it out properly with tokyo next episode, and i get the feeling she will, and i think that will be what makes them forgive each other. because even after all of it, blue still reaches out to tokyo, she is upset, but she still loves her. idk, i feel like... people are being too hard on blue. it's a tough situation, we don't have to take sides. i wish we all had a bit more nuance, which is what the show is asking for.
Also, I don't like double posting but I also had to say, I think Blue is incredibly unreasonable to expect or…
i don't think blue is expecting tokyo to accept. i don't think it's unreasonable to want, but wanting isn't the same as expecting, since blue has already shown that she understands. could you not say the same for tokyo, who is expecting blue to hand over her own cousin to either be killed by the kongpurim family (though thats not tokyo's intention) or brought to jail for the rest of her life? blue believes that pakkard didn't do this of her own accord, that she was manipulated by blue's father. she doesn't want anything bad to happen to pakkard because of her father's meddling— her father is treating pakkard like a sacrifice. i wish they made time for blue to tell this to tokyo, we can maybe presume that she did, but i don't think she did either, but blue knows that pakkard is not being protected from death from her own family, so blue has to protect her somehow. she isn't expecting tokyo to accept, but i think the point of what blue is saying is that tokyo is allowing pakkard to be another sacrifice for the feud, kindling for the fire, when that won't end it. instead, tokyo IS thinking like yi, like her father, that there are necessary sacrifices. if pakkard gets taken in by the police, that is also basically being handed over to the kongpurims (because big is in the police force).
i just don't think it's that simple, blue understands that it's difficult to accept, but tokyo is thinking that there is an eye for an eye, and blue doesn't want them all to be blind. it won't fix anything, and it won't make her feel any better about yi's passing.
I don't get why neither of them are telling Fahsai anything. Even if Nana wasn't there, Vee has 0 interest in…
pardon me if i don’t fully understand ur reply! i don’t think the point is about stopping it, it’s about care. if nana or vee truly cared about not being mean to this girl, they were actually nice people, they’d tell her anyway. bc i don’t think the “hints” from vee are very obvious, they only seem that way because we are the audience. if i was fahsai i probably wouldn’t have noticed. bc she has 0 clue that nana is even into vee or anyone for that matter. if fahsai doesn’t stop flirting w vee after nana tells her, then that’s on fahsai, but you can’t blame her if nobody tells it to her straight. we are adults here, if fahsai can’t handle being told something directly, then that is nobody’s problem but her own.
