Saito Kyoko (the loud girl) did her role convincingly.
Sasaki Mirei (the smart girl) did a solid performance as well.
I just don't like to think about it anymore but since you asked, I'll take my mind back to it and explain why I disliked the drama so much.
First, it was too dark and disturbing for my taste. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and subject them to that dis-comfortable state I was in while watching the story.
In addition, I found many unconvincing situations in the plot. Off the top of my head: [SPOILERS BEGIN]
- To be trapped within a cult in this day and age -when you are supposedly a kid from Seoul-, wasn't convincing to me. There were many solutions to follow and escape that situation Sangmi was in.
- Another issue that bothered me with the drama is how Sangmi was suspicious of the church and did not try to convince her parents of her discomfort. & I wouldn't sit there while a religious man touches my leg like that while praying! I would have jumped up and screamed at him or even burst up crying!
- When Sangmi suspected that something wrong happened to her brother during their first church activity -bathroom bullying incident-, she did not press the subject or even try to find out what happened to her brother. On a side note, I have a twin brother myself and I wouldn't be as slow as Sangmi was to save him! Especially with him being a person that needs caring for. Which leads me to my next point, they are twins and her brother obviously need his sister to protect him, so why didn't the parents them together in the same class so she can support him in class.
- And don't get me started on the hero figure Sang Hwan..... Plus, it breaks my heart how Dong Cheol was the hero from beginning to end but Sangmi didn't seem to be that grateful towards him in the end. [SPOILERS END]
I have many other negative feelings about this drama but I'll stop here because I think I made my point clear.
When I watch something that is suppose to be a thriller, I want to be impressed by how well-written and convincing and relate-able it is to real life.
