couldn't agree more. this kdrama was made for the crazy romantics of this world. the meant to be troop mixed with all the chessiness took me OUT. Please give me more of the secondary characters!
couldn't agree more. the supporting characters made this kdrama. couldn't care less for the "it's meant to be" romantic troop going on. The corny levels exploded with this one.
the ratings that people are giving is brutal. lol, so i wont be watching
Never let the opinions of others decide what you want to watch. If you are interested, watch the pilot, or the first 3 episodes, and decide for yourself :) i liked it a lot. under the kdrama universe is a good one.
Just finished it =) good vibes. really cool characters! Really enjoyable. If you are watching kdramas just for romance, and your favorite "couple" must win in the end, don't watch this one. This isn't just about romance... not at all. If you just need or want romance, there's A LOT of kdramas that will do that for you! Explore the pre-made lists for romances :) and dont be shy to drop kdramas that dont look good for you!
This kdrama might not be a 10 or an 8... a 6 for you, but shouldn't be 1. Never force yourself to watch anything below 3. Drop it.
omg it's funny to see you guys dropped the rating just because seo dal mi didn't end up with han ji pyeong. how…
it's like forcing a friend to date someone they never wanted sksksks what do they want to accomplish? I watch melodramas for romance for sure, but this one for me was more about business, following your dreams, friendship, personal development and most importantly... family! Ofc there's always romance in someone's life but to me that was not the main focus. You liked the second lead??? ME TOO!! He is an awesome actor and provided serious depth to the story.
I am actually so tired of weak second male leads that are only there to destroy or kill someone, or just to love someone and try to solely destroy someone's love life. He was awesome yes! One of the most interesting second male leads!! No one is saying otherwise, but how is "getting the girl" the ultimate decision between giving a kdrama a 10 or a 1. i have never gave 1 to anything... those i dropped immediatly lmao god knows how those went. saved myself some time and sanity!
I am so surprised by this kdrama. Never in my life would I assume that such a notorious kdrama would be this cheesy and romance heavy. I will definitely finish it, no matter what, but I thought it would be a bit heavier (like about war and History). I am on ep 9 and man... it's ok. At this point I am surprised there's no kimchi fights. -- I freaking love all the friendly soldiers <3 cuties. Love hearing the different accent :) so lovely
i watched 2/3 episodes before dropping this... was here again to see if i should watch the rest... The writer was awful since day one but hey- i was willing to give it a second chance. Seeing all the new reviews and comments i see i saved time with this one. God bless. I was right apparently.
i am at episode 14 and this is painful. this kdrama aint it. first half was totally fine by me, after that it's a disappointment. i am dying to be over with this cliché old school kdrama plots.
From kdrama perspective. I think the remaining episodes are meant to "reset" daldo couple and make it for real…
i agree. with just 6 eps left there's only so much u can change now. this is the typical break from a 16eps kdrama that had the main couple become a couple on episode 2/3. A break from lies now, to make it real while doing their company business.
For once, i'd like to stop seeing a Kdrama where the main couple keeps falling in love at first sight. It's so…
true. i dont even think it's possible to fall in love like that. never happened to me at least lol i might get VERY interested but i am not automatically in love x) that takes a bit longer for me. But since this kdrama was built like this for 10 eps, this last 6 will most likely just give us a little break from the main couple just to get them back together by the end.
Some kdramas would benefit from having fewer episodes and others with a few more. Having almost always 16 eps will make you have a dramatic event by ep 10 and the other 6 trying to recover and leading towards the end of the show. sometimes it feels very formulated.
For me, if the writers want to give the boyfriend position to HJP at this point, they would have to focus a lot more in their love relationship now, and i absolutely love the work dynamic, i do not wish to watch even less than what we already have on the business aspect. For me as a viewer to have to experience the actress fall in love all over again with another male actor, with just 6 episodes, would probably feel a lot more rushed than the current one.
The main actors are a couple? You mean in real life? Aren't these just rumors? lol
oh no. have no info on their personal life and that wouldn't matter in fiction. i meant their characters are already together. this little break they are having it's the result of having a show with 16 episodes and you got them together very early in the show. i have never seen a kdrama go back and say "you know what... this couple we just presented to you for 10 episodes, will not make it... let's throw the real one on the last 6.". on western shows thought not only you have multiple seasons that can make u play with all the characters, you also are more likely to get different and surprising outcomes.
[read only if you have watched until episode 10] I think these are intentional scene shots. Almost like premonitions…
It's the first time in a long time i don't roll my eyes at the "second" male lead. usually it's so in your face that the writer doesn't care for that character at all (and i hate it). i think if you want to pull a love triangle then make it interesting while adding depth to all the characters involved. this kdrama gets extra points for making me care so much for the well being of the HJP, even though i still think it's going to end how it always does. Still, better executed than more than half of the kdramas i have watched so far.
I just read the comments in here and wow. i am watching this as a kdrama that it is. i thought everyone thought SDM and NDS were the main couple (now and for the rest of the show). if this was a western series i would understand but i am pretty sure this is it. those two main actors are already the couple, HJP is bound to play the usual really nice guy that ends up just being that, with the typical speech "thank you for the letters and saving my summer, i will never forget you, but my heart belongs to someone else now", in my opinion. I have never watched a kdrama where the big romantic leads do not end up together. but hey- fighting yall!
I love the director's style of shooting. so many clues as to how the episode will turn out. The intentional shooting really gets me going. I also really like the story! This kdrama is really working out for me! It's been a while since i don't hate the "second" male lead. But I would rather watch it in a grey area. There is this ongoing theme in kdramas where the leads almost never have friends without having romantic feelings for each other, and that's so unrealistic. Ji Pyung has no family, his only family was the grandmother for a while... instead of making it romantic with Dal-mi, they could've kept it in a grey area, where he would later make it clear that he is acting the way he is more as a protective big bro. This is kinda the only family he ever had, you know? wouldn't that be beautiful? but this is a kdrama so I knew that would not be possible... But sometimes a powerful friend or family member with good intentions adds so much more to the story.
Everything that happened so far are all deliberate on the writer's/director's part. From grandma having DalMi…
[read only if you have watched until episode 10] I think these are intentional scene shots. Almost like premonitions for the episode itself. Could be the director's shooting style. Like little hints the director gives for how the episode will turn out. For example, when Do-san went back for the suit to try and fix the situation immediatly, the suit got a stain of ice cream in the way, and that was leading to the next scene where she was no longer waiting for him. The perfect suit, the perfect solution was already stained/broken before he even arrived. That is symbolism. I think this director likes to shoot intentional scenes like that. Like on the episode she finds out everything, when she is still clueless (but having suspicions) it's raining cats and dogs, but when she finaly finds out the truth by looking at Ji Pyung there's a clear sky, of clarity. No more secrets. Every little detail like this from a directing pov it's brillant.
