She is devastated when she learns that the author has discontinued the story and vents her frustration online, claiming she could write a better book herself. Shortly after, she accidentally falls and wakes up inside the novel’s world, inhabiting the body of Cha Sun Chaek, a noblewoman from a prestigious family.
Initially, Sun Chaek is overwhelmed but soon embraces her new life, enjoying the luxuries of her privileged status. She observes the unfolding romance between the novel’s main characters, Cho Eun-ae, the adopted daughter of a wealthy merchant, and Prince Yi Beon, a skilled warrior with a tragic past. However, she quickly realizes that events are deviating from the original storyline.
Sun Chaek encounters Do Hwa-seon, the story’s antagonist, who despises Eun-ae for her beauty and lack of noble lineage. Hwa-seon plots to humiliate Eun-ae at an upcoming noblewomen’s event. Meanwhile, Sun Chaek tries to stay on the sidelines but inadvertently gets involved in the drama.
