nahh absolutly not so hee is perfect for the character but not the ml, THEY JUST NEED TO CAST SOMEone very close…
how is the male actor not “close” enough? do you just mean in terms of appearance? because it’s not like sohee looks like her character, the art is for solo levelling is very specific. and in terms of acting… we haven’t seen him acting this character yet
let’s be frank; one of these is presented as immoral (murder/criminal activities) whereas a lot of times student/teacher…
of course there’s a difference when it comes to tone… like, that’s the whole point of tone in media…
also i think the whole thing is, when it comes to shows with murderers for example no one really watches them and thinks it’s fine (irl). there are some people who do think that when they watch shows with minor or student/teacher relationships which can make the idea of portrayal even in media a sensitive thing.
just responding to why people might perceive the two differently, not suggesting it’s wrong to watch either.
It's ok, but every episode is the same. Rinse and repeat. As for the comments on the teacher student relationship.…
let’s be frank; one of these is presented as immoral (murder/criminal activities) whereas a lot of times student/teacher relationships are presented as normal or okay with a bit of objection LOL that is the difference
i genuinely love this so much. does anyone have any recommendations for similar jdramas? i don’t mind if it it’s in terms of themes, characters, atmosphere… i just really love this, am up to the last available episode and am desperate for more, haha! i really am liking the portrayal of kaoru in particular :)
this is genuinely SUCH a fun watch. i usually have to take breaks in the middle of shows (like come back a week…
i can’t stop laughing at sima jiao basically going like “i’m sick—don’t you want to kill me now? i’m hurt—now is a good time to kill me. everyone is right—grab the sword and kill me” and tingyan is like ??????????? you want to be tucked into bed??????
this is genuinely SUCH a fun watch. i usually have to take breaks in the middle of shows (like come back a week or more later) but this i just want to keep watching and watching. “spoiler” for ep 4 below but not really
if it has flaws then how is it 10/10. 10/10 means perfect. im done with u people
pretty much every single drama ever released has flaws. many people rate objectively but many people also rate subjectively (i.e. how enjoyable they found the watch). for me, even if something has flaws, if i really enjoy it, i will rate it higher. not everyone is analysing every little aspect of a tv show and rating based on the artistic merit LOL.
often people rate things to personally keep track of their favourite dramas, not the ones that were objectively the best. the reviews are usually where that happens (and even then, not always). this is an informal site, after all :)
oh wow! yeah, the vibe is SO incredibly different (but at the same time… they’re both cheeky characters, haha). i like him but first of all, i absolutely didn’t realise it was him in this and second, i didn’t realise it was AI either 🤭
Just because his opponents are stronger than him doesn't mean he should just give to them and blame it all on…
they were wrong even pertaining to america anyway. if you’re in a car crash you don’t necessarily call the police—but you definitely do if a driver involved is drunk!

uh, which “the states” are you from? because in the united states of america, you call the police if someone involved in a car accident is drunk. because it is illegal to drive while drunk. and also, he started damaging the car on purpose. and agreed to pay for the damages but then reneged.
love how your ending is just “it all went downhill from there” because you KNOW what he did wasn’t acceptable!
she is so handsome!!!! i didn’t realise until now that she was the actress who played gu xiang in word of honour; watching that, i also found her very pretty. i like her acting and she really seems to pull off diverse roles. i will definitely check out more of her catalogue!
