genuinely so glad he’s getting so much love! i first saw him in Destined to Love You and have been waiting for years for him to be in something that suits my taste again. i tried Checkmate when it came out but it just wasn’t quite what i was looking for. now, since Love in Pavilion, which i’ve just started (!!!!!) it seems like he has become a bit popular 🙌 🙌 🙌 i hope he continues to secure good main roles 🙏
i forgot how much i loved this drama. is it perfect? no. there are many things i dislike about it BUT, like so many of these older dramas, it just FEELS right, haha!
young namgoong min + kim jaewon’s smile are always great and their acting is solid here, too. i’m still kind of sad that kim jaewon stopped acting. and i can’t believe this is almost 15 years old!
oh yeah, i completely understand. honestly i’ll still watch this but it would be amazing for them to be in something more mature; hopefully with two consecutive lighter, funnier shows, they’re due for something a little bit more dramatic next!
I think they thought it wouldn't come out on screen because it was a close up shot but they probably pulled out…
like how there is somehow who reads over a book before it is released, usually there is someone who watches over episodes before they are released. that person is probably a little bit embarrassed, haha, but at least because shows are released on streaming services they can always be edited; when it was just VCRs or DVDs, it would be too late 🤭
but i agree. even now if you watch Cheng Yi’s interviews where they play scenes from shows, he often will recite his lines at the same time!
to say “if you’re already filming and you’re still using the script, it shows that you are unprofessional because you haven’t learned your lines” is unfair. first, some actors DO struggle to memorise their lines BUT it’s also common for revisions even late in the game! not only that but Cheng Yi is known to be very diligent so to call someone unprofessional over one case is so unfortunate and gross.
the fact that it wasn’t noticed and edited out of the final production is… really bad though, haha
Is it true that the original intention was to also film a modern day (reincarnated) version but they didn’t have enough money? If so… I really hope this can happen. Genuinely love this couple and I’m looking forward to their future projects—but if they can have at least one more together, it would be so wonderful 🤭
