Stories like this is why whenever there is a money transaction, you always keep a documented record of it. Even if it is a close friend, family, or someone thought to be rich and/or famous. Given her age, and presumably the close age of those involved, I wonder if anything more will become of it besides an embarrassment for all involved. I am not sure what did or did not happen, but it shows that everyone needs a caring and responsible person(s) in their life to help avoid and deal with these sorts of situations.

What? That makes so little sense that it is borderline dangerous thinking.Popular qualities that women might be…
I do not think women want an aggressive man, but a confident one. It is often hard to distinguish the two at first glance, and even harder if you are attracted to the person as well. I think most people have a sliding scale of attraction where they are willing to accept certain problem traits if other positive traits make up for it. There are probably a lot of people that say they want to turn the bad boy into husband material, but that is more talk than action. You can admire looks without the other person even knowing, but changing them is totally different.

I do think that viewers watch dramas that are not always healthy, but health is probably not the main reason why people watch dramas anyways. We make assumptions about people we do not know, decisions about situations that we are not in, and judgements based on our points of view, but that is probably the point of entertainment.

-How many 2022 released dramas did you watch?  I do not keep track, but dozens.

-What country did you watch the most in 2022? China by far. They do make a lot of dramas to watch.

-What genre(s) do you usually watch? Romance might be the common thread amongst a vast majority of the dramas I have seen.

-What is your top drama listed in this article? (Can be more than one) Love Between Fairy and Devil was one of the best dramas I have seen in 2022 even though I felt it did not quite stick the landing with the ending.

-What is your top drama NOT listed in this article? (Can be more than one. If you don't agree with dramas rated by the majority of MDLers, this is the chance for you to convince us why you think your choice of dramas deserved to be on the top.) Shining for One Thing. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

-How was your drama journey in 2022? Like life, up and down. Some really good dramas, and others not so good. Some expected dramas and stars that shined, some hidden gems, and some disappointments. It was also another year of watching dramas from previous years, and while I have not come close to watching everything available, I do feel that the backlog of great dramas I have missed out on is shrinking.

-What is your wish or plan in dramaland in 2023? My wish is for all dramas to have no drag and well-executed endings. My plan is for that not to happen, and to keep using MDL to make the most out of watching dramas in 2023.

Title Double Love
The last third of the drama featured dreadful editing. I thought episode 16 was going to be an isolated incident, but it carried on until the end. It is particularly bothersome because I think we can all relate to being surprisingly excluded from an important event. It was like someone deemed the viewer not worthy of watching some of the most important events, even after we invested our time to watch. I feel the drama was not bad, but sorta treated the viewer badly.

He was able to fight to get his, and presumably will in the end. Charity is a great place to share his unpaid earnings, but I also think funding some sort of group that could help other artists deal with issues like this would also be a good way to use the money as well. Legal counseling, seminars, advocating for changes in laws, and promoting transparency in the entertainment industry is what really needs to happen. Or will we have to wait another 18 years to find out that he was an exception rather than the rule that artists should get what is due to them.

i loved her so much so i don't quite get how someone could not like her
I think some viewers could be turned off when she tried to act like someone in her 30s (which she was) when she was in high school in the first few episodes. She definitely recaptured her youth the rest of the way.
The ML and the FL were some of the best written and portrayed characters I have seen. They were even better together, especially when they shared the same scenes.

On Why Her? Dec 13, 2022
Title Why Her?
I had put this off because I had read some of the negative comments and thought I would at least pay some heed and watch some other dramas I had in my queue first. I did get to watch this last week and thought it was good. Seo Hyun Jin is the main reason. Why her? (Yeah, I worked that in there.) Besides being talented and beautiful, she has a presence that just draws you into her performance. The story left a lot to be desired, especially since there was so much to work with.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the romance of the leads, since that seemed to have garnered the most attention and subsequent criticism. While it did seem they were thrust together, I thought they complimented each other. Love is not always a fairy tale, and often happens when you least expect it. I did say the story left a lot to be desired, which included the romance, but I liked that they did not just slap a romantic comedy into a law drama. I really did not notice an age gap in the sense that someone looked too old or too young. What I did notice is a style gap which made them seem like an odd couple at times. Bae In Hyuk has got the clueless and annoying SML type down to a science.

I do not like to give numbers as a rating, but instead I would suggest that you give it a shot. My feeling is that you will know within the first episode if this is a drama that you would want to continue to watch. Seo Hyun Jin deserves that much.

I know the viewers of this drama will mad to me but i still want to write my opinion.Frankly, i was disappoited…
Why should anyone be mad at you for having high expectations and then being disappointed, or having low expectations and then being pleasantly surprised? It is only natural to have expectations about dramas that pique your interest, or to be a bit taken aback by coming across a drama that proved you wrong.

I have watched many dramas, and there are some general rules when it comes to Chinese dramas. Dramas with 24 episodes usually have a lot of romance. Ones with 36 have romance and a bigger story. Less than 24 episodes can be hit or miss, and more than 36 episodes either string out the romance, water it down with angst, or become secondary to everything else that is going on. Korean romance dramas tend to be 16 episodes, but there has been more 12 episode dramas which I prefer because things seem to move quicker.

My quick take on the drama so far is that Yang Mi is extremely beautiful, and her character is very alluring. Plus, Wu Fei (who is also very beautiful) is the lawyer we would probably all be if we were pulled off the street and asked to pretend to be a big time lawyer with no actual experience. This drama was never going to be as good as the hype for it, but unlike the also overly hyped drama The Oath of Love (yes, shots fired), this drama is a consistently good watch that I still look forward to.

Honestly, I sincerely feel bad for Wu Fei. She seriously like TJH. But he is a bustard.
Wu Fei is naive and Tao Jun Hui is jaded. I like Wu Fei but wonder why is she even a lawyer. Nothing about her says (good) lawyer. Tao Jun Hui seems to be doing the best that he can given his situation. The only problem I saw he had with Qin Shi was that he was aggressive, but has dialed that back. It is hard to dislike any of the four (including Yang Hua), even when they do things I might disagree with.
I do feel a bit for Wu Fei because the love she gives out and the love she expects in return is different from Tao Jun Hui, and you can see the anguish on her face. That does not mean they do not love each other, but like most couples, they are a work in progress.
The fact that no second leads are toxic vipers is a plus.

What makes this so good? How's the romance? Any love triangles? Happy ending?
One of the unique things about this drama is that the ML is probably one of the best SMLs written as well. Unless they have been saving the best dramas to drop in the next few weeks (unlikely), this is the best drama of 2022. I was surprised I liked this so much because it is not the type of drama I prefer, but it drew me in.

Tao Jun Hui + Qin Shi were together for 7 years (if I remember correctly) and they even bought an apartment together,…
TJH is the guy who lost a winning lottery ticket in the laundry, then proceeds to pick up another winning one off the ground. It is hard for me to like his character (arrogant, yet wishy-washy) or dislike his character (is he a bird in a gilded cage?).

Tao Jun Hui + Qin Shi were together for 7 years (if I remember correctly) and they even bought an apartment together,…
He is intelligent and talented. He has ambition, people skills, and situational awareness. I find it hard to believe that he did not know what the situation was, or that if he truly wanted to, he could have went after her. He also was able to move on pretty easy, especially if we believe that Qin Shi's work and love attitudes were because of that relationship and breakup.

I always take how long a drama couple has been together with a grain of salt. It is like they pull these numbers out of the air because either we do not know what they had been doing that time (seven years of fist bumps with the occasional hug, or can they change the other's clothes without having a conniption fit), or it seems too long to the viewer to not overcome whatever simple misunderstanding occurred (seven years without knowing their last name, or seven years of knowing enough to finish sentences for each other.
Their relationship must have been very conservative for it to have ended the way it did.

If you read down below or check the news, it is because of a period of mourning following the death of a former president.

I really don't know why fans give lower rating because of reidiculous reasons Some Criticize Yang mi 's voice…
I think if someone spells out the reasons for their ratings, then users can decide for themselves how ridiculous they may be. I think it may be a bit ridiculous to give a 7-9 site-rated drama a 1 rating because of a voice. I see voices coming from faces, so I am a bit biased by her attractive face. I think there is an age gap, but any issues I may have with an age gap is not the age itself since it is literally just a number in a drama. They both come across as responsible adults. I do think there is sometimes a style gap. Yang Hua is usually casual and Qin Shi is runway glam (I have lost count of the dresses, shoes, and accessories). When they are relaxed at home, they look comfy together, and when Yang Hua needs to dress to impress, he does. While it does not happen here too much since the leads respect each other, sometimes there is a forced gap where characters are constantly doing and saying things that create a gap even if it does not seem like one should exist.

I feel he's still so nostalgic about his past relationship with Qin Shi, esp. since now they work together in…
I know he was a weak jerk for how their relationship played out, but he still had feelings for her. I think if the question is who does he love, I would say he truly loves neither. He probably still loves the Qin Shi from before the breakup. She is not the same person now (and neither is he). He also seems like he cares about Wu Fei (there is a lot to like about her), but he seems to be living in the shadow of family (hers and his) expectations. This is not me feeling pity for him, just how I see it.

I have said this many times on this site, that there is a relationship between the viewer and drama if you really…
Not me. He is far too reserved right now. Granted, the way he is now got him into her life, and even has her caring about him, but we all know that is not enough for a main lead in a romance drama. He has shown that he can be emotional, and is willing to reconsider what he wants out of life, so I suspect that trend will continue. Long wait to find out, although this is nothing compared to the wait for the first episode.
