ok i finished the novel AND NOW IM REALLY EXCITED!!!!!!!! Ive watched the trailers so many times and i totally love the song in it loool (which ive been looping the entire day). i feel like i read this novel at such an opportune moment. like it just so happens that they dropped the drama trailer when i was reading the novel
the teaser makes the drama look so sad and tragic ahahah. tbh the novel is mostly comedy with hilarious leads. although there are some really sad parts (esp when they die, which by the way is my favourite part LMAO)
Can someone tell about each reincarnation they are destined to go through?
Basically in the novel, before each reincarnation they must drink a potion that will clear their memories, once you drink this potion and reincarnate, you will not remember anything from your past life (like all normal humans). In the novel, for each reincarnation either the ML or the FL will ācheat the systemā and not drink the potion. E.g. in the first lifetime, the FL did not drink and had all her memories while the ML drank the potion and did not any memories so he lived like a normal person. They were neighbours, FL is the daughter of a minister and ML is the son of a general. FL is 5 years older
In the second lifetime the ML did not drink while the FL did. They were master (ML) and student(FL). ML is 3 years older.
In the third lifetime they reincarnated as animals (but both did not drink the potion).
In fourth lifetime both had memories but the ML reincarnated as a woman while the FL reincarnated as a man. They reincarnated as adults who were already husband and wife. The husband is a general while the wife is a princess
5th lifetime they were sent on a mission so they had both their memories and power, although they could still die and reincarnate. 6th one same thing. 7th one idk yet cos I havenāt read until that part
Oh damn Iām reading the novel right now and kinda just searched the title for fun so Iām really surprised to know that thereās gonna be a drama!!! Because as I was reading the novel I thought that the plot would make for an exciting series. Iām hopinggggg the second lifetime in the drama will be good since thatās my favourite lifetime in the novel
I'm content with the epilogue,at least we got a narration of their happy life togetherš„ŗI mean they couldn't…
honestly theyve probably already dismantled some of the sets haaha theres no way they can refilm that much. and usually epilogues are about this length unless they were planned from the beginning
just finished the drama, overall its not bad and follows the typical xianxia formula. although its fantasy, the plot is logical. there are no unnecessary or draggy plot points (yay to 36 eps only!) there's great character development across the board. the romance is also well paced and believable. it might seem like there's a lot of noble idiocy but i think they are all justified and logical. you might find the female lead annoying in the beggining (which i definitely did, but i have xianxia experience so i knew that dumb female leads eventually grow and become not so annoying). There are moments in this drama that will tug your heart strings. honestly i kinda came here for the body swapping so im kinda sad that there wasnt much of that. but hey overall it was a decent drama. the one con i can think of is the kinda rushed ending.
also ive watched like 5 costume chinese dramas in the past month, i have no idea what im gg to watch now. frankly my eyes are pretty tired. LOL. i think i need a happy easy to watch drama after 5 psycho killer male leads tbh
damn the scene where dongfangqingcang took care of xiaolanhua as a plant after she died really took me out. IT WAS REALLY FUNNY HAHAH. like the supreme moon ruler's not doing much, just collecting morning dew and having a chill picnic with his plant girlfriend. (sunlight is the food at the picnic) his intense staring at the plant and caressing the leaves of xiaolanhua ABSOLUTELY KILLED ME. idk how dylan filmed those scenes cos i died laughing.
