They are really stingy on the kisses… again, I usually hate kiss scenes but damn they could’ve wrapped up ep 15 with a hug and kiss 🙃 oh well my heart flutters every time they just talk so they can do whatever I guess

I agree that deokim is anachronistic, at times she feels like she’s from the 21st century. But I can see why she keeps rejecting yisan, there’s 101 reasons why she shouldn’t become a concubine

I agree with you and I too am wondering how or why she will end up as his concubine. I think so far there are two common speculations.
1. He “forces” her - in the novel I think he calls him to his bed chambers, she kinda has no choice and gives in (which is bad since she doesn’t really have much choice)
Or
2. She thinks that it’s better for her to be around him because she’s his solace. (Ultimately it’s her choice but idk ??? She’s still the one making the sacrifice and in this case she’s kind of losing herself since she’s deciding to get together with him not because she wants to but just because she thinks it’s better for him)
I guess the best justification for them to be together is for her to get reassurance that she won’t lose herself? But imo it’s kind of impossible for her not to lose herself given the nature of what being a concubine entails. And I guess this is the very reason deokim has been so hesitant.
I feel that regardless, there’s no satisfying justification for her to be his concubine. I want them to be together but at the same time I also want deokim to run away. I like how this drama deals with the dilemma of deokim following her head or her heart. If it wasn’t this drama I think we would be all up in arms, hating on the female lead for rejecting the male lead LOL. But in this case deokim has my full support
Some how I wish the last scene of the drama is them in their afterlife/imagined life, leaving on a journey together, as the poem they recited together in an earlier episode plays in the background. The poem that goes “I leave, holding hands with my loved one”. Dude if it ends like this, my tears are all yours.

I’m not sure if viu goes back to fix their translation since the only way to give them feedback is through email. People who can spot the mistakes are those who won’t be affected by the mistranslations and won’t be compelled to go through the trouble of writing an email (eg me). And on the other hand there are many who won’t even be aware of the mistranslations. For viki I heard it’s subbed by volunteeers? I think for viu the translators are paid but I’m not 100% sure. Viu is only available in Asia I think… it’s kind of like e viki counterpart here since viki isn’t available where I’m from
