Jirisan didn’t live up to the expectations but it was still a decent drama.
It has a unique premise about mountain rangers and all the unfortunate things that could happen on a mountain. Personally I really enjoyed watching how the rangers dealt with disasters - from trying to save individual hikers to handling more serious events like forest fires and torrential rain. These events really kept me on the edge of my seat and were the highlight of the drama for me.
The murderer mystery felt a bit too dragged out. Interesting at parts but when the murder was finally revealed it felt a bit anti-climactic. At least the backstory of the murder was quite interesting.
I felt the same for the supernatural aspect. At first it was creepy and thrilling but after the reveal, the supernatural aspect didn’t add much to the story for me.
While I liked the part about mountain rangers doing their job, I wasn’t moved by the emotional aspect that the show was trying to portray. They really did try to push the ‘village’ vibe (esp with the community event montages). I don’t know why but the execution of the more ‘emotional’ and ‘human’ aspects of the show did not touch me.
All in all for the most part the show was a good meal time drama, at points very gripping, but a snooze fest at others. It could’ve been better, but it was not a bad show. I guess my expectations were too high given the star cast, writer, and director.
There’s lots of politics in ep 11, but at least theyve managed to maintain the tension. But honestly, I can’t keep watching San escape death in one episode only for him to face more danger in the next. 😭 I mean we all know he’s not gonna die as a crown prince anyway.
I wanted pain but I wanted the pain of longing and yearning, not the pain of seeing my protagonists in imminent danger 😭 tbh I’m becoming immune to the pain of death at this point because they’re almost dying every ep
6 more episodes left, episode 12 needs major plot progress
6 ep left, all antagonists are still alive… the other antagonist hasn’t even become a full fledged antagonist yet. We still have a lot more politics to deal with 😩
@ all the thirsty hoes 😭😭😭😭😭😭 what is this preview how do we wait now
