If their first kiss is a drunken kiss I’m flipping tables… they better be sober and aware ffs.. my 10/10 rating I swear… i will take it back. No drunk kiss PLEASE. Alcohol is my enemy
If I am not mistaken from reading history snippets, San would be rejected twice. So is it right to assume that…
Ohh makes sense… but at this point I don’t even know how many times he’s been rejected ahahahaha I count the times that he was rejected as a crown prince as one rejection. And irl he was rejected once when he was a cp and once when he was a king. So imo I think it’s highly likely he’ll get rejected again but will quickly get tgt with him somehow.
The crown prince leaving 3 sets of clues in the form of words for the location of the document of truth … ok…
True, but the female lead in queen of seven days was directly related to the royalty. I think she was the queens sister or something and she comes from a super prestigious family. But here, it’s kind of random for deokim to have such an important tattoo
Why I don’t like deok im’s tattoo having an important significane
The crown prince leaving 3 sets of clues in the form of words for the location of the document of truth … ok I’m fine with that. BUT even if deokim’s father was a loyal servant, it made no sense to tattoo the clue on his child? The cap and rings make sense as clues because they are imperishable (at least for many years), and they were on items that belonged to people who were important to the crown prince. (Son’s cap and wife’s rings) but a tattoo on the child of his loyal retainer?? A human girl in the 18th century? With that infant mortality rate??? What if she died… oops there goes 明… I guess we’ll never get to know it’s actually 日 and 月 instead now…
Anyway I felt like this scene was just added to make the female lead more important and useful. However, she’s already plenty useful and important without this tattoo.
I was waiting for his famous first line as King and that didn't happen..... Awww...
Instead we got his monologue in the throne room. So powerful 🔥
Also I think they didn’t add that in because in this drama, before yeongjo died, he already acknowledged that Yi San is crown prince sado’s son in front of all his ministers
Ep 12 had so many great scenes!!! And they are definitely some of my favourites in the the entire drama. I think…
LOVED the “I am not father scene” with Yi San and Yeongjo. This scene has got to be my favourite scene, second only to the poetry exchange scene between Yi San and deok im. The desperation and despair Yi San showed and the exchange between the grandfather and grandson duo was phenomenal.
Also loved the scene of Yi San walking to the throne room in his mourning robes alone at night. Very poetic. “Everything is now my responsibility. I will not hide or run away.” What a great scene to mark his transition from a crown prince to a king. Usually it’s a coronation scene or a scene with all his retainers in court but I feel this had a much greater impact. It shows that Yi San is truly alone, giving more impact to the things he said in the scene.
I like how Yi San acknowledged his resentment for his grandfather but yet also admits that he has been fortunate enough to resent him. In the past he could just blame his grandfather for all the issues, be it political or personal, but now he has no one to blame.
Also “I want us to be a family???” I never thought a king asking a woman to be a concubine could be so romantic…
Ep 12 had so many great scenes!!! And they are definitely some of my favourites in the the entire drama. I think this might be my favourite episode o f the red sleeve ❤️ I was truly annoyed with the amount of politics in last 3 episodes but now I think they were a great build up for ep 12. I guess with the exception of deokim’s tattoo playing a part in the politics, I am quite satisfied with how this drama played out the politics.
Tbh I came here for the romance but I truly felt so much respect for Yi San as a character in this episode after all the hardships he has gone through and will go through in the future as a monarch.
The wait for ep 13 is gonna be crazy… I look forward to meeting all my housemates who will be living in this comment section with me for the next 6 days 😜
I would say this is my favorite historical drama after Kingdom series
Very different vibes these two dramas have 🤣 I love kingdom too. Now that jirisan has ended maybe the cast and writer will have time to film season 3 😝
HC Lady Jo’s death was unexpected but her death scene + her dying in the palace made sense.
A fitting ending for her. It showed the contrast between her death and yeongbin’s death too. And the fact that she was so obsessed with dying in the palace since ep 1.

This episode served so many legendary scenes
