Regretfully gonna have to drop this because after 15 eps all I can feel for this drama is frustration. At least I loved the first 2 eps. (I literally recommended this drama to everyone I know based on the first 2 eps) Thought this was gonna be a masterpiece based on the pilot week but nahhhhh I can’t help but be disappointed with what the plot and pacing has become.

This drama had an interesting premise and built what seemed to be promising and intriguing characters, but they were never really fleshed out to their fullest potential. The show has characters like dami (girl pretending to be heir), ji woon (broken genius character), gaon (mysterious body guard), Hyun (template second male lead character but his dimples are cute so all was forgiven) - all these are interesting set up but they all turned out to be kinda… boring unfortunately… nobody really has any character development, and even when they do it kinda happens out of nowhere. After a certain point it felt like things were happening because the writer wanted them to. Also did the writer forget about Dam-I?

I think there’s quite a bit of difference between the novel and drama. I read somewhere that king yeongjo didn’t have a big role in the novel. But his role in the drama is quite significant. Anyway the predictions are all based on the ep 9 teaser and scenes from ep 8, not based on the novel at all in this analysis if I’m not wrong
