Ok at least the ending of ep 8 is not some crazy cliff hanger (unlike last week!!!!!). It’s a fitting ending to wrap up the first half of the show. At least I can work in peace this week without this drama living in my mind rent free.
Now the head court lady is just reduced to a petty villain 😭 she’s doing this all out of revenge smh, she’s the real crazy one out here. But then again the pettiest people come up with the most elaborate schemes, so it’s not like it doesn’t make sense.
I just wished she wasn’t such a clear cut “bad” character, previously her morals and motivations were more grey and it added to the political intrigue.
1. Make CP jealous - another man gave her the sleeves 2. Red sleeeves means she’s a court lady and belongs to the king (and also cp, who will eventually be king), covering it could have a more abstract meaning meaning - deokim wants to have a own life and freedom, and not be bound by a life where she has no power to make her own choices. (This was kind of the theme of ep 7, that she has her own will and thoughts)
This was the first kdrama I watched 10 years ago in December. Thank you for introducing me to the world of kdrama dong yi. I will forever remember you fondly
I’m glad that at the halfway point the plot is still intact. I love this, thank you for making this drama, it might be my favourite one ever. 😭 I started watching my first kdrama 10 years ago, and it was an mbc historical drama (dong yi) so I feel like the red sleeve is the perfect drama to celebrate 10 years of kdrama loooll
Even I hate the sight of the crown prince 😭 I’d reject him too now. Deok im has some great foresight
I say this but I still felt warm when they hugged lmaoooo. I feel feminism leaving my body when I watch this show sksksksksks I’m a rational person I swear
