Yes first ep they lacked chemistry for sure. In the second ep they look more cohesive in scenes together.

I think it’s really cringy, to the point I felt secondhand embarrassment watching some scenes 😭 Kim Yoo jungs always been a decent actress but in ep 1 I felt her acting was off. She was good in the emotional scenes (with madam gu was vvv good) but it was quite awkward when she was acting like an “heiress” and especially bad in scenes with song kang. Song Kang is also really awkward here. The scenes where the ml and fl together were especially bad. The dialogues were hella awkward sometimes. The plot is ok, there’s clearly some lore the show will expand on. I think I’ll still keep watching, I hope things will improve in terms of acting and directing tho

Honestly I only have myself to blame because I started the show for the cast but this was capital B BORING. I watched until the midway point so I feel I have it enough chance. I’m not one bit curious about the plot because it’s kinda obvious how it’s gonna turn out. My last straw was when the female lead told the male lead she trust that he didn’t kill anyone and that she didn’t need to hear his explanation even though girly KNEW he was LYING since she’s literally a lie detector. I get that she understands there’s probably some hidden reasoning but maybe she should hear that reasoning?? Idk she seemed so irrational to me and it annoyed me to no end and it’s the main reason why I stopped watching. Oh and my biggest pet peeve is music dramas that claim that the characters are music geniuses but the music I hear is complete shit.

would’ve been great if they showed guitar grandpa at the end too. I feel like he would’ve been alive since he would’ve finally had a proper talk with his daughter, made amends, and would otherwise not have overdosed on antidepressants

Very entertaining and uplifting youth drama, with multiple themes - youth, friendship, music, time travelling, but also touched on more serious notes like regret, the burden of a child and the intricacies of parent-child relationships. The highlight is definitely the cast and the friendship they created in the drama. All the main characters are endearing - eun gyeol, yi chan and cheong ah are well written. Only eun yu had the poorer characterisation. She’s supposed to be the main female protagonist but I feel like the show didn’t flesh out her story that well, at the end she felt like a support character. But overall I’m very happy with the show and looked forward to it every week. One of the better kdramas this year for sure.

I want a spin off with Cheongchan!!!!

Idk if this is abstract humour or what but I just didn’t find this movie funny or fun at all haha. It’s just really random. Not to mention lee sun kyun doesn’t have a favourable image right now

Yi chan and Chung ah are just so freaking cute. And this drama might be my fav of 2023 yet!! It’s such a good coming of age drama

Idk I don’t really like him as a character. If he actually cared for his daughter she wouldn’t be in this state. He robbed her of the power to communicate because of his own prejudice and fear of shame. The step mother is only able to abuse Chung ah if he gave her the power to, and in this case the power was in terms of his absence. He’s an absent father and that is a form of abuse.

I wonder if it’s on purpose or a plot hole.

Yeah honestly I feel like the mum is just lying about the first love thing. Maybe she never had one and just created a story as a way to cope. Usually stories from a parents high school days are highly exaggerated anyway 🤣
