This actress is pretty good because she pulled off the character annoyingly well. Shangguan Qian and her acting as a doe in the headlight was so annoying good I felt like slapping her a few times over hahahah

This show is really nice to look at. The sets are incredible and the cast are eye candies. Plot was just ok IMO and romance was meh. I liked that there is no true antagonist and conflict is created by people having different agendas as everyone had their own motives. Fight scenes are pretty good generally but slow motion was kinda overdone. Overall I enjoyed this as a Wuxia-mystery drama.

A lot of things weren’t explained but implied
1. Are eon nyeon and Lee Yoon siblings? Or was eon nyeon just emphatic towards Lee Yoon because their families suffered similar tragedies? I’m sure it’s the latter and if so romance between the two would’ve been so much better!!

2. Was Chung soo the one who killed eon nyeon parents? It was implied the invincible general killed hee parents so to me that seems like Chung soo

Yes definitely could have been longer!! Although I feel the ending was on purpose so they can squeeze in a S2 if this drama gets popular

There needs to be season two because I need to see Lee Gwang Il die at the hands of the Japanese. It’ll be such a fitting death for him. Committed all those atrocities on his fellow countrymen just to be killed by those he’s trying to suck up to.

Pretty entertaining as a Japanese colonisation action period drama. The action scenes are the highlight of the show, although plot armour is THICK here. The romance was meh and the chemistry between Kim nam Gil and seo Hyun was bad, but i get that it was a necessary part of the plot. Honestly Lee yoon had a much better dynamic with eonyeon, who in my opinion is one of the more interesting characters in the show. It’s not as emotional as other dramas set in the same time period but I definitely enjoyed this as an action drama. The side characters are entertaining but I found hee shin’s character and her romance to be boring.

Theres definitely potential for season 2.

Yes of course m, it’s just there isn’t really any movement in the past 7 eps. And it’s not like the two cousins have have much interaction haha. So far they’ve just been laying out the relationship between the guy she saved and the nine head demon guy. But I don’t feel any emotional connection towards any of them
