Honestly I’m not a fan of the whole “loved each other 30k years ago but forgot” plot and that the FL is actually some higher being than she appears to be. We’ve seen this plot like 100000 times in other xianxias, and we honestly can almost predict what’s gonna happen. So the fact that more episodes are gonna be spent at the end to cover this arc kinda bores me.

the leads having to go through 7 mortal love tribulations is somewhat unique and not yet seen before. Idk they didn’t just focus on this plot point since clearly the original source had enough interesting plot and content to hit at least 36 eps, even with the leads being plain jane “Everyday” immortals

Fr in the novel it was the stone guy who was the main antagonist in the second tribulation. I didn’t even find him annoying but I actually pitied him since his own back story was also quite sad. And he also brought about the saddest ending ever for that trial

well tbh so far all lord protector wants is revenge for cang hai who died. Maybe if he finds out that it wasn’t ML who killed her they might actually join hands

What I don’t like about the SML is that he’s always saying that he’ll do everything for the FL. It might seem like he’s in interfering with the tribulations just to save the FL but we all know from their first tribulation that the SML is unscrupulous and will do whatever it takes to make the FL his because he’s absolutely obsessed with her!!!! Trust me even when xiangyub regains her memories as Cang hai and wants to be with Chu kong, this annoying SML will still scheme to pull them apart 💀💀💀

Bro the snow mountain scene woulda been such a killer sad scene if only they had Chu kong reminiscing himself as Lu chang kong holding Xiang Yun as she died in the snow!!!!

I’m at ep 15. Honestly I don’t understand how the Wang family is just out here mass murdering every prominent family in the city?? Like I get that they want to massacre the Gu family and loot their riches. And that’s possible because GU no longer had the support of a minister in court. They justified the attack on gu by accusing them of treason and abetting rebels, but how are they just destroying the rest of the other prominent families?? They did say the court is in somewhat a state of chaos because the king is sick and there are a few personnel changes, but still it’s not like the king is dead and the country is on the brink of collapse?? I’m not convinced by the mass murder plot so it’s somewhat dampening my enjoyment of the show. Idk how WANG and co are getting away with any of this lol. I know it’s tragic but I’m just shocked by how ludicrous it all is
