It's really the lies that broke their marriage. What she wanted was to for them to shoulder their problems together. But he hid a lot of stuff from her , the other girl even knew about he resignation before her. He said it's to protect her and not to worry her. But she doesnt need to be protected. She can no longer trust him. So instead of stay together and have doubts, she would rather have a clean break and they can still keep some of their happy memories intact.

I would love a Pei redemption. He doesnt seem to be inherently bad like his father seems to be. He seems receptive to ML when they were kids, but he seems biased now. The only thing he knew was ML tried to steal something. He didnt even know what he tried to steal. Anyway, Pei is an effective SML, you cant help but root for him. Sometimes. 😁
