you mean XQ and her brother? i didnt read the novel so i am not sure if i'm missing anything, but from what i can see they're both under the control of the mother for a long time. it's possible that they tried before but got smacked down terribly by her. she's seems ruthless. even her husband warned XQ to not enrage her.

i didnt think i would like it at first. but i find myself still watching and anticipating the next episode. (and even subscribing to viu T^T) so i guess i do like it. ^^
WCR did a good job with her drunken confession scene.

i dunno, she seems just a normal human. not everyone can be strong. and with a family like that it would be hard. she doesnt even have a bestie.
her brother seems to care, but he's also controlled y his mom. the way he stuttered when his mom questioned him about the withdrawal. at least he has a friend.
i don't think it's unusual that a person can seem strong with or to other people but weak when it comes to their families.

I was late watching WIFTY, but i was the same. At one point, I was anticipating it more than i was HL and Destined. 😁

i also get spooked/scared easily (i still have not finished Kingdom. T^T) , so i make sure to watch this in the morning, or i am with other people and then immediately watch another non horror drama. it also helps that i find the folklore interesting and there's not much gore.

this is my first Kim Taeri drama and yes her acting is very impressive.
anyway hope you'll give it a try in the future. ^^

i generally love how SZ calmly reacts on most situations. except may be when it comes to her brother. haha
i also love how she would say everything's fine and then would suddenly smash something. she definitely needs those stress balls. ^^

I am amazed with SZ's reaction to JY. She didn't totally dismiss her, but she listened and empathized. But she calmly pointed out what was wrong as well. And then her sadness realizing that DJX was being guilt tripped all those yrs. And her offering her bank card and him knowing somethings wrong but prioritizing in making her smile and reassuring her.

And when he learned that JY also harassed SZ, he was quite clear with JY what his bottom line is. That restraining order was very satisfying. 😤😼

The entire Interaction b/w DJX, SZ and SY was perfect. SZ marching into the restaurant and tried to haul her brother out. Her tearing up because she's frustrated with her borther and then declaring to disown him. Then DJX offering to be beaten up because he was so touched being defended by his girl. And then SY being touched in turn when SZ automatically berated DJX for beating uo her brother. So cute. And then when SY said to DJX he was comforted that he's her BF. again, cute. 🥰

Also the part where they pick her up from her work and SZ suddenly crying why her brother wouldnt stay longer. She can still be a brat and cry baby with her brother. But not with DJX because she wants to be seen as a reliable adult.

also DJX is fast but not fast. he already has a house ready and the smooth remarks of you can always have these snacks once you move in and those mr and mrs mugs. hahaha i can't. 🤣
