Crash Landing on you, I cant get pass episode 1 and I dont know why. Mouse, episode 1 and I already knew who is…
Seriously, I love Hyunbin but for the life of me I keep falling asleep while watching the drama. The only reason I finished the drama is because of Kim Junghyun since he is the only interesting character on the show for me.
They were enemies in the real history. Thats why in the drama, all their brotherhood scenes are only done behind…
No fact about 'being friend in secrecy'. Its all in the writers' creative imaginations. Thats the highlight of this whole things for me tbh. The brilliance of the writers in twisting the story of following the history while at the same telling a different story. Thats why they even managed to give us a happy ending despite following the exact same tragic ending for the Emperor and Empress in the real history.
Like in the history, the Emperor did gives his lands etc to Cao Cao but here, there are wisdom in his actions. So you see him as a hero instead of a weak king. But in the real history, he is indeed a weak king and the end of the Han family rule over China. Its hard to explain but you will appreciate this drama more if you know the real history and you will amazed on how the twists totally change your perspective on many things. :D
I actually agree to this ... though i am a kdrama fan(addict)...i love their wonderful story line to begin with...…
Its not they dont want to provide a closure. But they just in general like to write pretentious endings ~ somehow tragic endings are more poetic~ lol
I watched this when it was aired years back but I still remember how all these makes me so angry lol. You literally can predict Kdramas' endings just by watching their first episodes. This predictability aspect going to cause this industry later. Seasoned watchers like me will had enough... :(
Is that Bromance real in history,, I mean the two best friend existed in the actual history of this era or it's…
They were enemies in the real history. Thats why in the drama, all their brotherhood scenes are only done behind the scene and no one else knowing except only few of people -- thus the 'secret' in the title of this drama. They are still following the exact historical events but with twists.
Hey! Thanks for reading ❤️SNHGIK was extremely slow for me, as we mentioned that these aren't the worst shows…
Actually, I'm a big fan of Jdramas and I think I have watched really a lot of Jdramas for the past decades (but never got to rate them properly in this site). But I never got around to watch SNHGIK despite it has been sitting in my harddisk for yearsss.
I'm actually very easy to please so you must roll your eyes when you see my list. X'D 10/10 only being given to perfect shows like Joy of Life & Nirvana in Fire. But like I said if its below 4, it means it really bad in term of message (Because This is My First Life which I rated it 2/10) or horrible and uneven script (Moon Lover; Scarlet Heart Ryeo which I rated 4/10). ^^''
Hi!! I've started watching this because of you and I want a spoiler, im on eps 41 Can you spoil me who is the…
Yes yes the drama is very addicting but the at the same time it made me so happy watching it. Its my go to drama everytime any other dramas let me down. I always like; 'Fan Xian would never!!!' everytime I encountered character in other dramas doing dumb decisions haha. And everytime I made a rewatch, I will realize all this little and small nuanced actions did by the characters which make me appreciate the script even more. ♥ The foreshadowing is a lot and it amazed me so much how both the writer and the director incorporate it in the drama -- like every action means something. Its really amazing. :D
And you are right! The drama is so funny. Their humour is definitely up to my alley. I was in stitches everytime Fan Xian and Wang Qinian are together. And luckily I watched enough Cdramas to understand some of the jokes that didnt transpire well with subs. Like Dabao calling Fan Xian 'Xiao Xian Xian' which is a double blow to him or Fan Xian made fun of Gong Dian's name 'Lou Gong' which means husband in Chinese. I really appreciate all the jokes lol
I think another drama that is very close to NIF and JOL would be Sword Snow Stride. IMO, its the best C-drama for last year hands down. It also starred Zhang Ruoyun as the lead with the same writer of JOL penned down the script. The chess game in SSS is amazing as well.

Wah 6 episodes in one night? Congrats! :D :D
I doubt he died since we have 2 seasons after this. :D My guess is that it is his plan with Yan Bingyun (plus, Yan Bingyun is listed as his allies in the novel) to fool the 2nd Prince. Fan Xian is very unexpected so I'm sure that it is his plan all along. One thing he never did is disappoint us.

Episode 41 will revealed who is his parents. ^^' I know sometimes the curiosity is killing you but this type of drama not knowing spoiler is the best as you will get surprised the same way as the character when they learned the truth. The foreshadowing is a lot in the drama so all that lead to the final truth so the fun part is guessing together with Fan Xian and decipher who is the real mastermind behind the whole thing. Like for an example the real bad guy behind the assassination attempt at Nailing street, if we already know the spoiler since the beginning, the fun wont be there anymore -- the brilliance of how that particular character was constructed to fool our eyes will be lost -- his acting, his motives, the way he behaves, etc. You are 6 episodes from finishing you will know everything in 6 episodes. :D

And it makes me curious how would you rate my fave shows lol!
Usually, I rated shows below 4 when it have bad / awful message. Or just badly written dramas with uneven plots and doesnt make sense characters.
